Phase 3 - Community Vote

It's time to vote for your favorite Master candidate!  Every community member may vote on only one candidate. You can change your vote(s) at any time as long as there is still time on the clock.

Vote based on who you think would make the best Master of that element. Do not vote based on who is the best player or who you know personally. Try to pick someone who you think would help the community the most as THE representative for their element.  If you believe none of the Trialists should be Master, please select the "None Worthy" option. 

To help you make the best decision possible, feel free to ask the candidates questions.  Both challengers and defending Masters ought to answer the questions in this thread (and in the General questions thread) to help the voters make the best possible choice.  Please put all your answers in a single post (employing spoiler tags is recommended).  Also, challengers should include in that post a link to your Phase 1 submission post.

I had to spend some time looking back. Definitely the older trials seemed interesting due to cards still coming out at the time. Mrblonde's and Coinich's decks from 3rd trials lacked pens, so all duos ran double pillars. I'd have to say 4th trials, mrblonde vs xnOize. It has many unconventional decks that I haven't seen in a competitive setting, while also containing many variants of modern decks. Of note is blonde's G4, RT mummy without SoR, and xn0ize's physalia trident duo.

1. Honestly, I'd like to fight Rob. My first war with death, he bid on me with 30 points. He gave me advice, acted as a mentor, overall helped me through my noobish beginnings. It's be fair that I prove myself against him.

3. Death to me, personally, is an inevitability. There is no escaping, and it can come at any time, way, shape, and form. I guess I was desensitized by HTF as a child. It was always interesting.

4. Being a master of any element means knowledge and mastery of said element. Because the game is more balanced, all elements have some weakness that can be exploited. For me to be a master would be the accumulation of years of sitting in the back and watching everyone win. I can prove to myself that I am worth something as an individual rather than a team member.
5. Masters should understand the game with every element, but have some emotional or casual preference to their element. Aside from that, all masters must be able to work with whatever they have with their element. xnOize's UG deck, my several Entropy war matches with pandabone poison varients, and iconic decks like Pdials SoSac. I don't know as much about the game, but I want to work towards better understanding other cards as well as death.

1. I'm not as PvP experienced or artistic enough to consider myself as a contender for War or Brawl. I know my weakness as a General would fall upon my habit of using the same decks over and over, not understanding balancing of certain decks, and just overall pvp meta of every element. As an artist, I was always more of a numbers guy, so art of most types I'd struggle with. Deck building and card creation seem interesting, but if nothing come up immediately then i'll struggle with that activity.

Probably would lean towards soul catcher as death's sleeper card. It provides a burst of quanta, but only 2/3 on a kill per catcher isn't much when compared to towers. But when several are on the field and multiple creatures die, then the situational boost kicks in. IIRC Rob used it vs DANI in trials, an immogolems with soul catchers to fuel grey nymphs. It was effective, but just barely.

Virus isn't enough of a card to be sleeper. It's weak and it takes a turn to poison another creature. It's one time and not enough for me to support it. Skeleton has RNG in RT decks, but people generally prefer consistency and RNG isn't favorable. Vulture can be strong, but in repeat PvP environments, it loses its surprise and just killed off quickly. Deathstalker also has its niche, but requires a buff to begin, taking up more slots and dies quickly. Skull Shield only blocks 1, costs 3/2, and has the same low probability of killing each turn. if it could block more, that'd be preferable.
