Guys, I suggest that you only post here once. That will make SG's life easier as she'll know who signed up. Right now, it took me five seconds to figure out that the only three people who signed up are Miniwally, Daneman and TheDarkAzura.

BTW, if any of you want to fight me fair and square, don't use any upped cards. I won't because I haven't got any. This is a test of skills, not who has the best cards.

It's hard to make good unupped decks. If the rules don't forbid upped cards, I say, why not use them? IMO, proving you're a good Master without even knowing/having all the cards is pretty silly. Also, life is not fair . If you've been here since primordial times, you should've had some upped cards already.

I am not a hardcore gamer, and I've never found it fun to grind. I don't have all the upped cards, but you're damn right that I know them. I've used them more than enough times in the trainer to experiment.

I'm just saying, it wouldn't be right if I lost to someone who knows less about than me just because he had a couple more upped cards.

I simply don't get the notion of "no upgrades = n00b". Upgraded cards are easily obtained in the trainer, and everyone can experiment with them. Whether you have any upped cards in your real account has nothing to do with how well you know the cards.

A growing trend in this forum is that 95% of all deck threads use fully upped cards, which I absolutely loathed. The unupped cards are still a part of the game, but most people are regarding them as nonexistent. The way this is going, unupped cards might as well be deleted from the game.

You said you have only a couple of upgraded cards and very little PvP experience. You feel that you deserve the title of Master because you "know the cards". What does that even mean?

The fact that you started Elements before I did and you have so few upgraded cards means that you haven't fought False Gods, because if you did, you would have upgraded cards. My question is this: How well do you actually know the game if you have no experience in PvE endgame and only a handful of PvP matches? How is "knowing cards" better than having actual PvP or PvE experience?

In most cases the number of upgraded cards is in direct correlation to a players skill level (especially PvE). If we have a player with zero upgraded cards and player with 200 upgraded card, the latter is most likely a better player simply because he has so much more experience.

I have to say that the fact that you ask challengers not to use upped cards against you is pretty lame. Instead of complaining about "grinding", why not just fight FG's and make some cash to buy those upped cards? If you really "know the cards", getting 1-2 upped cards per hour is easy.

I'll just hope that I don't go on a bad-luck lose streak again. What originally caused me to lose interest in FGs was repeated losses against Miracle, Fire Queen, and some other easier FGs; I didn't just lose, they completely pwned and destroyed me because I kept having bad draws and them exceptional draws.

Unfortunately I don't read minds, so I don't know what everyone is playing. The fact that you hadn't done any real PvP before the Master's challenge was also something that I would have never guessed.

I only know that when you fight False Gods, you win upgraded cards. So if you have only a couple of upgraded cards after playing for 6+ months, I see only two different possibilities:

A) You've fought FG's less than 50 times
B) You fought FG's more than 50 times but your winning percentage is so low that you have to sell your winnings to be able to fight again, therefore not making any real money

I don't see any other way. There is no option:

C) You've fought FG's hundreds of times, have a high winning percentage, but are poor with no upped cards

I guess it's B) then. I'm sure you know that the unupped FG rainbow has a low winning percentage. I have fought FGs more than 50 times, but most of them are losses; it only gets harder with the improved AI, new FGs, and rainbow nerfs. I have won quite a few times, but I think in my entire gaming experience I've won less than 5 upgraded cards from FGs.

Remember the time period when Chriskang was making his FG challenges? Around that time we all thought Zanz abandoned this game, and there had been no new content in months. Back then Sundials were OP and AIs were terrible, so I should've grabbed my chance and grinded. But back then, I was so bored with the game that I nearly quit; the only thing that kept me from quitting was the forum.

Now Elements is fun again, but grinding became much harder. So yeah, I should've done the grinding when it was easy...

EDIT: Yeah, it really punches a hole in my good mood when I face Graviton who drops an Elite Otyugh in the second turn while I have a really bad draw with only 1 pillar. I'm not complaining, it's just my own luck...

EDIT 2: OK, won an upgraded card. Guess my luck is not so bad after all.

I'll start grinding again, but I doubt that before the matches start, I'll have a fully upped rainbow and Mono-Dark. I can't play on the weekdays.

Your luck will turn around eventually, don't sweat it. Even if it's due to get better after you die....
