I like all 3 candidates for different reasons. I really do. So I'll just ask this question and vote tomorrow.

Which current darkness card do you think does not belong to the Element of Darkness and why?

I don't think any do not belong in Darkness, but if I needed to choose the least likely to belong in darkness, I would choose Drain Life.
It reminds me of a death card being opposite in nature to healing and I feel it would be better in Death.

This is probably one of the more heated debates in the trials, interesting.

I voted for Kael, not because I think he has a charming personality or a passion for darkness in every sense, but because I believe that his professionalism/perfectionism will benefit the community the most out of the three candidates.

Yeah, nobody is better suited than Kael because he has 6.02 x 10²³ years of CCG design experience.

Parasite | Bloodsucker. Personally I think it is better suited as a Death card, as it is a creature that poisons your opponent's creatures.

Yeah, nobody is better suited than Kael because he has 6.02 x 10²³ years of CCG design experience.

According to Bloodshadow my CCG design experience pre-dates the estimated age of the earth. So I must be the best choice.

Rereading the posts, I feel sad for killfer8 for kinda giving up too soon for I applaud his early initiative when nobody wasn't stepping up for Darkness.

I am pretty sure Kael Hate's experience, professionalism and drive for perfection would bring Darkness to the level of Elements domination, which is a good thing.

Bloodshadow's sheer devotion to darkness is comparable to no one.

All three combined and helping one another would truly be awesome.

That said, I still had a really hard time deciding which one to vote so as stated in my previous post I decided my vote based on these answers.

I honestly don't agree with both choices. Darkness and Death has long been associated with each other so a likeness in ability isn't really that big a deal. I would preferably chose Gargoyle because the ability Stone Form imo isn't something darkness should need or have.

The Nature of the creature is what makes them darkness and why I didn't choose them. Vampirism isn't the same as Drain life. If the Drain Life card was called "Theft of Vitae" or something to that nature I would have never chosen it, but the card is called Drain Life a direct and forceful action, something I see less inclined to darkness than Gargoyle or Parasite.

I believe that this isn't the first time you wrote that Anyway, your devotion towards darkness is unmatched and I believe that you'd be a good choice for a master too. But as SG stated in the OP:

Vote based on who you think would make the best Master of that element. Do not vote based on who is the best player or who you know personally. Try to pick someone who you think would help the community the most.

But it's good to see prominent members (not leaving you out killfer) compete, especially as good becomes better when striving for best. (That's probably bad English though).

And, seriously, "Theft of Vitae"?! I'm sure you've seen those "drain life" type abilities in other CCGs, or fantasy games in general. More likely than not that ability will be called "Drain Life". I personally don't see what's wrong with it. I know that Darkness is about subtlety and obfuscation, but sometimes I just feel like slamming my opponent's face with a huge AMGDARKNESSBEAM and be done with it.

Yes, I am aware of the constant, I have studied Chemistry. You were refering to years of experience though. Your communication skills and relevance of values leaves much to desire.

As for Drain Life, its not called AMGDARKNESSBEAM, its called Drain Life and though I don't think it does not belong in Darkness, I believe it has the least affinity with Darkness.

As for the AGMDARKNESSBEAM, I was not referring to Drain Life. I was referring to the rather generic "huge blast of dark energy" in many fantasy settings.
