In an instance where there is only 1 challenger (such as this), does that challenger get the full amount of points for winning?

I think that winnings should be scaled. For example, if there are 4 challengers, the winner of that fight should get more score than the winner of a 2-person challenger battle.

Talking about points, it seems like I must raise money in order to participate to the GM competition

It's not as simple as that.

I thought about this scaling method but the problem is that it punishes a lone Challenger because there is no way he can get the full score even if he were the best player in the world.

This method we have now is fair because even if there were 4 Challengers, one would still get that 6 points.

This only makes it easier for the Challenger if there's only one, but not really unfair for the Master.
