People tend to prefer to be master of one of the weaker elements because it is safer. No one is going to blame you for losing with an inferior element but it would be your fault if you lose with a strong element. People don't want to look like a loser and are cowards. They don't realize losing has its own glorious beauty : )

. I don't want to lose in an 'inferior' element nor a 'strong' one, it's all a matter of perspective anyways. I just want to have a shot at toppling a superpower on the off-chance I do come out on top.
