Phase 3 - Community Vote

It's time to vote for your favorite Master candidate!  Every community member has one vote. You can change your vote at any time as long as there is still time on the clock.

Vote based on who you think would make the best Master of that element. Do not vote based on who is the best player or who you know personally. Try to pick someone who you think would help the community the most as THE representative for their element.  If you do not have any preference for who should be Master, or cannot decide between the candidates, please select the "None Worthy" option.

To help you make the best decision possible, feel free to ask the candidates questions.  Both challengers and defending Masters ought to answer the questions in this thread (and in the General questions thread) to help the voters make the best possible choice.  Please put all your answers in a single post (employing spoiler tags is recommended).  Also, challengers should include in that post a link to your Phase 1 submission post.

Questions and answers may begin now that this topic is posted.
Voting will begin when the polls are up at the official start of Phase 3.
Phase 3 ends when poll expires.

Question for deuce:
These past few months, you have taken a backseat in forum activities. This is obviously fine, but how confident are you that you would General Aether in War 10 if you successfully defended your Mastership?

Hi, I'm Zawadx. Last War, I generaled Aether and hit rock bottom (12th place), only to rise back up and manage to finish as 3rd. That journey, was for me the Apotheosis which Aether stands for. On that journey I truly got to know Aether, and it's only made me want to Master it. I'm once again trialing for Aether, hoping that I can take the element to even greater heights.

Challenger's Entrance

@All : Analyse your performance in trials so far (both phases) in a critical manner. Where did you go right? Where did you go wrong? What would you change if you could? You have 4 hours. (if someone wants me to answer this, pm)

I have to admit that I could not put my best into trials. I had to rush Phase 1, and so couldn't find the time to finish up my Mastering the Cards entry (I'd wanted to do a full scale article on fractal, but could only discuss the rushy fractal archetypes). I am satisfied with my other phase 1 entries, and thought the Tourney Idea was pretty cool. But I don't think they have enough pizzazz to get an bonus points :/

For phase 2, I decided to perform an experiment with the in-element matches by creating a strategy focused on dims. Given my elements, that worked out pretty well. vs Deuce this plan was improvised, and I depended on my traditional style of mindgating to win (which gets stronger the more games played in the match, since you can predict better). But then I had bad luck in game 3, which stopped my reverse sweep cold (I had Catatitans and Mono remaining to his time duo, light duo and rainbow; catatitans would struggle but mono would be pretty secure for at least 2 wins).

vs Regy, I might have lost game 1 due to a misplay (I expected him to have just 2 shield bypass; he had 3 and so could confidently have them to break through). And the catatitans faildrew for me, despite this one being a pretty great build for quanta and catatitans :/ vs Probacon, my only loss came due to a blackout during G1 where my AI lost a won game by playing dims vs 5 RoLs...

vs rippy, I made the unfortunate mistake of settling bans at 2 am. That made me have one less ban, which was pretty relevant as he his whole arsenal vs me. And then he managed perfect immo draws twice (srsly, it was 2/3 immos, perfect fodder and 2/3 hitters by T2 both times) against catatitans faildraw and a derp of not replacing Psions with recluses in the anti-fire deck. Grabbow vs Air Nymphs was iffy due to wings, but I had a decent chance if I had a fast start (which I didn't :/).

And some questions for all trialists:
If you become the 10th Master of your Element, will you be the War General?
If you become the 10th Master of your Element, will you be the Brawl Boss?
If you become the 10th Master of your Element, what are your goals? What is the minimum that you could achieve that you'd look back on and say 'Yes, I did a good job there'? Please be realistic.

tbh, I'm not sure if I'll be able to General or even participate in War.
Actually this needs a separate paragraph. This year, I've been selected as a member of my country's team for the International Math Olympiad. Which is supposed to be the most prestigious event for high school students in the world. I've been practicing as much as I can, hoping that I can make my country proud. Unfortunately, that means I can't really put much time into EtG at all. This is the main reason behind my inactivity these past weeks. Now, the IMO will be over by 16th July. But depending on how I perform there, my life will prolly change A LOT. So I just can't make any promises, especially about such a huge event as war. But if I can, I will definitely lead Aether.

Don't think I'll be a good brawl boss, so I prolly won't do it.

My goal is to win war and return Aether to its rightful place at the top. I'd also like to solidify a vision for the element, but I'm not sure if I still have the enthusiasm for that. I'm not sure if I have any more emotion left to pour into giving aether a form :/

Now that the broad strokes have been painted, let's advance to the finer details~

Spoiler for CleanOnion 1:

I'd like a rant about how OP dimshield is, please. Make up opinions if you need to, but it has to seem realistic.

Dim shield is honestly one of the most infuriating cards in the game. Yes, it can be countered, but those counters are so obvious that you feel horrible for not bringing them! What's worse, it leaves a bad taste for newbies which they just associate with aether, forever driving them away from the element. The dimshield effect of always forcing a counter gives a real boost if you use aether vs an average pvper, which really just worsens the critical stage of pvp development. I may have been a fan of it as a newbie, but honestly it's done a lot more harm than good.

Spoiler for Aves:

People often complain that aether is OP. Is it? If so, how would you change things so it is not? Is it not? Explain some of aether's weaknesses.

I think that it's not so much about aether being OP, but about other elements not having enough good stuff. Yes, dims are unhealthy for the game and should probably be 2 turns unupped, 3 turns upped (this makes the upgrade a significant buff which lets it stay strong in fully upped pvp and gold/plat, metas in which I think it's fine). Fractal is a monster for card advantage, but it's pretty amazing as a card and really showcases EtG's awesomeness for me. You could give Psion -1|+1 and make psiontal and MA a bit less aggressive past shields, but it could generate new horrors and unbalance the meta even further towards aether counters. Of course, having more varied and interesting ways to counter aether in all elements would be a good thing, as it sets up a decent check to stop Aether becoming too OP and adds to the game.

Aether's biggest weakness is creatures above 6 health - if these can be strong hitters then they are going to cause problems. Cheap attackers are also big vs Aether since aether has a traditional quanta handicap - often the simple quanta advantage decides games. Nightmare is decent vs fractal, tho most decks besides fractal rushes can survive through it. Steal and deflag are far worse as counters to dims, but they can be exploited by using the dimshield effect.

Spoiler for ji412jo:

In the same sense, everybody says they'd remove a card or two or many from aether. If you were to remove 1 card from every other element, what would it be?
(and no all shards, all weapons etc easy answers)

:entropy - Butterfly Effect: It's too weak to even be memorable. Maybe you could replace it with a stronger version, or a more interesting design.
:death - Flesh Spider: I really like death's design, very well-knit. Flesh spider is the only thing which stands out as unthematic... slightly. I suppose you could replace it with better spiders elsewhere, and make elite mummy relevant.
:gravity - Shard of Focus: It's way too OP to be in the game....
:earth - Antlion: cute, but it could be so much more. I'd replace it with a suite of burrowed stuff.
:life - Cockatrice: it's usually just worse than frog. You should at least make it a midrange hitter with a 4-6 quanta cost.
:fire - Fire Spirit: Forest Spirit and lava golem do it better; fire eater too.
:water - Mind Flayer: Could be so much more than simply lobotomy
:light - Luciferin: To make holy light better.
:air - Fog Shield: Infuriating hax
:time - Think they're all pretty good, tho Fate Egg could be buffed. But they're all good for the game.
:darkness - Dusk Mantle: See fog

Spoiler for mrpaper:

If you we're a master.. how would you define the content of the team chat in the war(s) you we're leading?  What would next one should have?  If you haven't.. what do you plan on putting there?

Well I was a general, so I'm gonna go with my team chat. I adopted a very standard style seen from Team Fire in war 8: use a private Titanpad for all planning. The pad should start with everyone's colors and links to Vault, War intel, Test location, test info thread and the current round. Then there's a section for salvage and discard, where we debate the choices. Finally there's a separate block for each match that we're playing in. This system alows you to easily organize EVERYTHING needed for war. The pad chat is open if you need live communication.

Spoiler for Submachine:

For all trialists for all elements:

- How would you represent yourself in a comic if you wanted to be recognized, but without saying anything in the comic? Describe your looks.
- How would you represent your element's "essence" as a character in a comic? Would it have a gender? Describe its looks.

I would be the psion with blue flames. I think krzy has made that iconic enough.
If you can manage tho, a lightning version of Colonel Roy Mustang would be perfect x)

Aether would be represented by a perfect, somewhat amorphous being (which means its details look very fuzzy), surrounded by increasingly spread out circles of floating matter (representing divergence). The Aether nymph looks like a good model for this.

Spoiler for CleaonOnion #2:

My question is as such: What's your favourite idea?

Probably going to be the idea that numbers can be used to develop an abstract field that allows us to transcend our greatest limits ^_^

Spoiler for Discord:

Aeder trialists! If you could change one thing about aether, and one thing only, what would it be?

Add more cards? I've also warmed up to Sera's idea o combining spark with phase salvager.

Spoiler for Aves:

Spoiler for Would you ever use this? If so, where?:

Probably in propaganda x) Tho it'd be a copout if I did that.

Hello people! Imma ask some "getting to know you" questions.

1.For everyone: Is the element you are trialing for your favourite element? if its not then which is and why didnt you trial for it? If it is then which is your 2nd favourite and would consider trialing for it next time if you dont win these trials?

2.For everyone: Do you value higher the general of an element in war or the element itself? (for example your favourite element is  :underworld but STANDIN became the master of  :rainbow would you want to join the great master STANDIN or your favourite element no matter what general it has?)

3. For everyone: On the other side of the coin. As a general yourself, would you value higher more active players that may not hold your element as their favourite or players that have your element as their favourite but arent so active-or there are other problems-?

5. Challengers Only: assuming you make it to the finals. How would you react if the master didnt draft you in the coming war?(considering you want to be in the same team)

6. Last question for everyone: Why do you want to win trials? Why do you want to be a master?

thank you. kthxbai

1. Yes, Aether is my favorite element. After it, I really have never played favorites and like them all. Though it'd prolly be one of Air, Fire or Darkness. But no, Aether is the only element for me~

2. It depends. If there's a really bad general who picks a horrible team, I wouldn't want to be part of it even if it was my favorite element. But if the general is alright, I'd definitely favor Aether (or fire/air/darkness) because I have more experience with them and would be of more use. After that, I'd prolly focus on the general more.

3. Activity is a must for me. Honestly, war with an inactive team is not fun at all. If you can at least be somewhat active, then having Aether as a favorite will score you brownie points.

5. I'd be quite surprised, since I believe I'd be a big threat for aether otherwise. But stuff happens over the course of war, and so I wouldn't take it to heart.

6. Really it's to prove to myself that I can. To prove that I have mastered Aether, by beating the best Aether (pretty much the best player in terms of elemental loyalty) at this. It would be an ultimate step of the apotheosis aether signifies for me :D

Spoiler for justaburd:

Chirp trill chirp chirp?

Warble?

P.S. Really more for the challengers: What do you think you'll do better than the current master?

Bzzt.

I'll have more of a presence by being more active. And be more passionate.

Spoiler for Aves:

If you become/remain master, who is going to be your favorite minion?

Pshht, I don't do minions. srsly tho, I'm not close enough to anyone to make them do all the work (except all of my co-staffers, but that's another story ;) ). If I became master, I'd try to make deuce my minion. How cool would that be?

To all: How has your favorite element affected your life?

To me, Aether has always been the element of imagination, the stuff of dreams. My imagination has always been a refuge for me from an early age; it's a place where I could go and be me with no repercussions. It let me develop the creativity I consider my greatest asset.

Aether is also the element of Apotheosis, which is my ambition in life. And this drive/hope/ambition has actually let me go further than I believed possible. So, to get a chance for the IMO team you need to participate in a series of difficult TSTs (Team Selection Tests). This year there were 6. Now I've been doing this for 3 years, but my first 4 TSTs were only mediocre. Even some people who were giving the TSTs for the first time were ahead of me. Plus we had to change locations, and in the process I got a serious migraine attack. But I still had the drive to keep going, and didn't give up. Thus I managed to pull ahead in the last 2 TSTs, and actually had the highest score in the last one. Highest, in the entire country x) That's what you get for not giving up, and that's the gift aether (the drive for apotheosis) has given me.

This post contains my responses to peoples questions so far. If there's anything else you want to know, please feel free to keep asking more questions!

For those who are interested in checking them out, here are my Phase 1 Tasks

Spoiler for Jenkar:
@All : Analyse your performance in trials so far (both phases) in a critical manner. Where did you go right? Where did you go wrong? What would you change if you could?
Phase 1:
I didn't have the time to put as much effort into this as I would have liked but despite that I'm mostly pleased with what I produced.

Mastering the cards - I was fairly happy with this task. I felt like I probably could have added more but I also didn't want to produce a wall of text. I still like my choice of cards. I wanted to go for cards that weren't the obvious (partly to show that Aether is more that just Dim Shield and Fractal :P) and hopefully provide some tips and strategies past the obvious.
Waging War Against the False Gods - This may not have been the most original deck. Dim Shields against False Gods is a fairly common defence strategy. However, I had enough fun playing the False God matches that I think it was the right call.
Starting Your Own Little War - I liked my idea for this. Having it based on trials final battles seemed like a nice concept for a trials entry. If there are negatives it's possibly too complicated with 12 different ban lists and some elements will almost certainly be more powerful than others. There are lots of ways that this could be balanced a bit more, by altering ban lists/upgrades allowed for more or less powerful elements. Even if there is an overpowered option then it would be up to the tournament entrants to find this out for themselves and build counter strategies.

Phase 2:
I came out with the top score for this round out of the Aether challengers which I'm happy about although I would have liked to give deuce22 a better match. I should have spent more time considering my bans, particularly against Zawadx. It was very difficult to ban when we both had exactly the same upgrades and elements from phase 1.

vs Zawadx - I was disappointed to lose this one. Mostly because Zawadx is my closest competitor in terms of getting to the final battle. I don't think I played my best in this match, particularly my deck choice in the final game. Despite that it was a very close match with the last game coming down to coin toss.
vs deuce22 - This also could have gone better but I think the only change I would make is my deck choice in game 3. Games 1 and 4 deuces decks were favoured but he also got the draws. I expect to put up a better fight if I make it to the final battle.
vs ProBacon - I was mostly pleased with this match although I meant to put Lobos in my game 4 deck.
vs dark_ripper - Based on his bans I was expecting rushes and I got rushes. I took a risk with RoL/Hope in game 5 and it paid off.

Spoiler for Afdarenty:
If you become the 10th Master of your Element, will you be the War General?
If you become the 10th Master of your Element, will you be the Brawl Boss?
If you become the 10th Master of your Element, what are your goals? What is the minimum that you could achieve that you'd look back on and say 'Yes, I did a good job there'? Please be realistic.
Yes. I intend to General.
No. I don't think it would be right to jump in as a boss without having entered brawl before. I also can't see why Brawl Boss and Master are related now when there aren't 12 elemental teams in Brawl.
Goals would be to win War and failing that at least manage top 3. Other than that it would to try to live up to the example that Higs and deuce have set over the past few years.

Spoiler for Submachine:
- How would you represent yourself in a comic if you wanted to be recognized, but without saying anything in the comic? Describe your looks.
- How would you represent your element's "essence" as a character in a comic? Would it have a gender? Describe its looks.
I'm terrible at art and so it's unlikely that anything I drew would be recognisable :P.
To represent Aether I would probably go with a mostly black, vaguely humanoid shape filled with stars and nebulae and things like that.

Spoiler for Clean Onion:
What's your favourite idea?
Err... The internet!

Honestly, it is pretty amazing that a group of us who live on different sides of the planet can communicate and play a game together in the way that we do.

I'd like a rant about how OP dimshield is, please. Make up opinions if you need to, but it has to seem realistic.
If you want a rant there are a lot of those here and I don't think we need any more.

Spoiler for Aves:
People often complain that aether is OP. Is it? If so, how would you change things so it is not? Is it not? Explain some of aether's weaknesses.
I don't think it is over powered. It's definitely a powerful element but so are Fire and Darkness etc. I think the best way to improve things would be to add more power to weaker elements rather than remove it from Aether.

Spoiler for ji412jo:
In the same sense, everybody says they'd remove a card or two or many from aether. If you were to remove 1 card from every other element, what would it be?
(and no all shards, all weapons etc easy answers)
I think this game would benefit more from adding more cards than removing them. However,
:entropy Mutation (unupped) - the variance on the randomness is too high.
:death Skeleton - But keep it as an effect from Skull Shield/Boneyard.
:gravity SoFocus - Too many effects going on on one card.
:earth Antlion - Overshadowed by other Earth creatures.
:life Cockatrice - It's not distinct enough from Horned Frog.
:fire Fire Spirit - Overshadowed by other Fire creatures.
:water Flooding - It's a nice idea but it isn't always intuitive in what it kills and it's never quite felt right as a card.
:light Holy Light - Instant kill on Death and Darkness is either too strong or too weak
:air Shard of Freedon - Same as SoFocus. Too much going on on one card.
:time Fate Egg - It's always a Dragon or Nymph when Chaos Lord uses it but useless when it's me. Also it tends to cause PvP problems.
:darkness Liquid Shadow - I really like the idea for the card but somehow it never quite seems to work as well as you want it to.

Spoiler for mrpaper:
If you we're a master.. how would you define the content of the team chat in the war(s) you we're leading?  What would next one should have?  If you haven't.. what do you plan on putting there?
Team chat should have useful links at the top of the pad to standings, vault etc. Then a section for discussion about the current round with details of the event card then each match up. Having a proper chat section for discussion is really important too.

Spoiler for Discord:
Aeder trialists! If you could change one thing about aether, and one thing only, what would it be?
Phase Salvager.

Spoiler for Zawadx:
Regyptic: Why did you sign up for time in Budokan, instead of Aether?
The main reason is that I feel like Time is an element I have less experience deckbuilding with and I thought this would be a good opportunity to change that.

Spoiler for dark ripper:
Hello people! Imma ask some "getting to know you" questions.

1.For everyone: Is the element you are trialing for your favourite element? if its not then which is and why didnt you trial for it? If it is then which is your 2nd favourite and would consider trialing for it next time if you dont win these trials?

4. Masters Only: how would react if you had the lowest votes out of everyone in phase 3?

5. Challengers Only: assuming you make it to the finals. How would you react if the master didnt draft you in the coming war?(considering you want to be in the same team)

6. Last question for everyone: Why do you want to win trials? Why do you want to be a master?

thank you. kthxbai
1. Yes, Aether is my favourite element. I'm also a fan of Darkness and that (along with War Bonus reasons) is why I have previously trialled for Darkness.
2. I think both are important. Obviously some elements are stronger than others but even a strong element won't get too far without a decent team of players. In the past my favourites list is usually based on considering both my preferred elements and the current General.
3. I'd ideally look for a combination of activity and player skill with loyalty probably being the next criterion.
4. N/A
5. I wouldn't be offended. That's up to the General and their auction strategy. I definitely wouldn't want a General to overpay for me.
6. A master is one of the most important and respected positions on this forum. I've been a part of this forum for a few years now and it would mean a lot to me to achieve such an important title.

Spoiler for justaburd:
Chirp trill chirp chirp?

Warble?

P.S. Really more for the challengers: What do you think you'll do better than the current master?
Caw.
Caw-Caw Skree.
deuce has done a great job as Master and it would be arrogant of me to say I would do things 'better' but I would do things my way. Sometimes it is good to have a change of leadership to bring in new attitudes and ideas. However, my goal would still be to achieve the strong PvP and War performances that deuce has managed as Master.

Spoiler for Higurashi:
To all: How has your favorite element affected your life?
I'm not sure how to answer this question but I'll do my do my best.

I'm not sure that Aether has necessarily affected my life, but the concepts behind it resonate with me. When I first started playing this game and was choosing an element, I read through all of the descriptions provided and it was clear which element I would pick. I'm not even sure I can put into words why but something about it lead me to it. It felt like an introspective, subtle element, relying more on strategy than pure power. Maybe it was because it talks about dimensions and electricity which appealed to the scientist in me.

Historically, Aether was used to explain things like light, electromagnetism and gravity which they did not yet understand. We now have a much better understanding of many of these things through science. In this way I think Aether represents humanities pursuit of knowledge and improvement which is an important idea to me personally. Ultimately, if humanity is to survive, this pursuit will one day have to take us off this planet into the Aether itself.

I think that's all of them, but sorry if I've missed anyone's question.

Please do consider me for your vote. I know I may not have the reputation of deuce or Zawadx, but if you vote me to the final battle I will do my best to prove myself. Thank you.

I'd like a rant about how OP dimshield is, please. Make up opinions if you need to, but it has to seem realistic.

People often complain that aether is OP. Is it? If so, how would you change things so it is not? Is it not? Explain some of aether's weaknesses.

In the same sense, everybody says they'd remove a card or two or many from aether. If you were to remove 1 card from every other element, what would it be?

Most of you know me and my credentials. Phase 1 tasks

The one thing that I'm sure everyone is wondering is if I will be :aether general next war, or any other war in the future?

I miss war. It is the one thing I truly love about this game. I really want to general aether again next war, hell, I planned on it last war. Unfortunately, real life got in the way. I am hopeful that I can return this war as general, but it will likely depend on when war takes place. If for some reason I do not return this year, I will definitely return the following year as my schedule gets a lot lighter.

With that being said, I will try and answer Phase 3 questions as best I can.

Spoiler for JCJ:
Question for deuce:
These past few months, you have taken a backseat in forum activities. This is obviously fine, but how confident are you that you would General Aether in War 10 if you successfully defended your Mastership?
Please see above

Spoiler for CleanOnion:
I'd like a rant about how OP dimshield is, please. Make up opinions if you need to, but it has to seem realistic.
Yes, dims are a very strong card. No, they are not OP. This is one of the most common complaints of newer players, but as you learn more about the game, you find a number of ways to counter them. While hard PC like deflag and steals help, they alone do not counter dims. There a large number of soft PC options (psions, momentum, catapult, various bolts, etc.) to bypass dims as well. It would be a waste of time to try and outline all the different ways to beat dims, but I will just say that if you suspect your opponent may use dims, then you should make sure that you are prepared for them. If you are not prepared for dims, then yes, a chain of dims will likely defeat you. Take a look at the matches between Regyptic and I as an example, we both had access to dims and neither of us used them, but we were always prepared for them.

Spoiler for Aves:
People often complain that aether is OP. Is it? If so, how would you change things so it is not? Is it not? Explain some of aether's weaknesses.
Unfortunately, all of the elements are not equally balanced. Aether is nearly a complete element, while I would argue that fire and darkness are probably the only true complete elements. I would not say aether is OP, but it has a few of the strongest cards in the game. If I had to pick any element as being OP, it would be fire (hard PC, lots of CC, and strong creatures. The things that make aether therefore weaker are a lack of hard PC, only 1 CC option, and fewer creatures. The most recent addition of psions helped address 2 of those weaknesses making it much more versatile, but still not OP.

Spoiler for ji412jo:
In the same sense, everybody says they'd remove a card or two or many from aether. If you were to remove 1 card from every other element, what would it be?
(and no all shards, all weapons etc easy answers)
:entropy - mutation
 :death - deathstalker
 :gravity - chimera
 :earth - antlion
 :life - rustler
 :fire - seraph
 :water - flooding
 :light - holy light
 :air - firefly
 :time - anubis
 :darkness - cloak

Spoiler for Jenkar-ALL:
@All : Analyse your performance in trials so far (both phases) in a critical manner. Where did you go right? Where did you go wrong? What would you change if you could? You have 4 hours. (if someone wants me to answer this, pm)
Kind of screwed up Phase 1 because I nearly missed the deadline and hastily posted my tasks 1 without checking to see if they were truly complete. Dominated phase 2, nearly got the full 12 pts but RNG didn't want me to beat Root. So if I could change anything, it probably would have been to fully complete phase 1 8)

Spoiler for Afda-ALL:
For players that have already been Masters, how do you think you did? Are there things you are planning on doing differently if you become a Master again?
I did pretty well initially, won 3 straight wars. Then became WM, then took a temporary leave of absence. I hope to once again return aether to its former glory if I become master again.

Spoiler for Submachine-ALL:
For all trialists for all elements:

- How would you represent yourself in a comic if you wanted to be recognized, but without saying anything in the comic? Describe your looks.
- How would you represent your element's "essence" as a character in a comic? Would it have a gender? Describe its looks.
A. I think you've already included me in a comic as the recognizable ninja dog
B. Pure turquoise energy without a definite form or gender. Kind of like God in Futurama.

Spoiler for CleanOnion-ALL:
My question is as such: What's your favourite idea?
Psiontal, since I think I may have been the first to use it and popularize it in war/PVP. But another idea I really like is Retrotal, which is basically just Retrovirus + fractal + BW. I've used it once or twice in PVP and haven't really seen it used elsewhere, but wouldn't be surprised if someone had.

Spoiler for mrpaper:
If you we're a master.. how would you define the content of the team chat in the war(s) you we're leading?  What would next one should have?  If you haven't.. what do you plan on putting there?
The content of my team chat has been and will continue to largely be completely unrelated to war. It is a place where boys become men and girls become women. There is no discrimination between age, race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. It is a place for experimentation to find one's place in life. What happens in team chat, stays in team chat.

Spoiler for Discord:
Aeder trialists! If you could change one thing about aether, and one thing only, what would it be?
Add more cards. But I would do this for every element.

Spoiler for Aves again:
Would you ever use this (dim shield)? If so, where?
I would use it in PVP when I had a low suspicion that my opponent would have PC.

Spoiler for dripper-ALL:

Why do you want to be a master?

thank you. kthxbai
1. Yes, aether is my favorite element. Gravity is my 2nd favorite element.

2. This question is worded weird. If I were not master/general, I would want to be on aether regardless of who the general is. But I think a strong general is more valuable than a strong element.

3. Active players are always the most valuable in war, even if they dont care much for the element.

4. This has happened to me before, so wouldn't care much. Plus the difference in upgrades at this point is negligible.

6. I want to win trials because I want to be aether general again. I want to be a master because who doesn't? Ultimately, me defending my mastership makes my potential future successor work that much harder to become that much stronger so that they can adequately replace me.

Spoiler for Aves-ALL:
If you become/remain master, who is going to be your favorite minion?
Depends who is still around, probably hainkarga or Avenger.

Spoiler for Higs:
To all: How has your favorite element affected your life?

If you're not in Trials for your favorite element, let me know so I know whom not to vote for.
Being a part of  :aether these last few years has allowed me to connect with a number of members in the community, especially those I've shared war time with. Many I now consider friends and keep in touch outside of EtG.
