he played crawlers/RoL/hope/luciferin. i used my squids on the RoL and wings locked his crawlers, he gave up when i chained last wings and he had 4 cards left. 1-1

no idea what to expect so took this, a pretty all round deck with pc, defence, small denial and some attack. rav's deck was just better here. 2-4

Ban thinking:


Ok, my bans were pretty weird.


Dim Shield: Dim Shield was the card I feared most from nils. There was no way we weren't going to mutually ban it.
Miracle: No Light Stall? No problems.
Deflag: Why just deflag and not steal?

• I Knew that nils had a Darkness/Water.
• Steal is harder to splash in a novabow
• Steams

Discord: I needed this ban. All my decks, except the last, were duos. And I knew I couldn't shield from Discords.
Poison: That netted me the win in game 1, I don't even need to explain. (Yes, I had purify.)
Shockwave: This was the card that made most people go weird.
Shockwave was an essential ban.
Look at the Quakelers. Look at Aces High. Look at Stairway To Heaven. What most my decks had were big creatures. What I didn't need nils to had, was some istant hard CC. (And PC, in case 1.27 came.). I was right, banning that over wings.

banning stragety:
steal and deflag: safe permanents are fine, with testing rav had a darkness/water to and i wanted to be sure some perm control killed the game at once (pulvy is hard to use with water and butterfly effect can be killed easily with control)
dim shield: gives to many stall options, i didn't want to motivate rav to take stalls all the time .
nova: no speedbows, had to use my speedbows lots faster :S.
miracle: miracle stall is to annoying, it had to go .
wings: my only 2 wins came because of wings, it shuts water down.
