Alright, I'll be checking the chat all day today, every hour on the hour.  I'm pretty busy though, I've got finals coming up.  Just get on within the next six hours and we should be good.

:P :)) LMAO - That's kind of cold icy, but I suppose that after this match, it seems that Gl1tch still has some staying power for his element.

Also, very impressive work Gl1tch - you somehow managed to hold your title despite the extreme competition (3-4 competitors, like :time) for Life. Hats off to you, and hopefully, you'll continue to smoke all other oncoming challengers in the future like your twirling mustache.  ;)

@killsdazombies: Shame on you for not preparing! Better luck next time, eh? ^^;

Wow, you really took care to film the battle? Good job. Epic battle, by the way. Very impressive. Gl1tch, you are indeed a stronghold, tough nut to crack.

How come you have only the staff upgraded? I thought you can upgrade 11 cards.

I see you like life/aether combination as much as I do, did my shielded dragon deck inspire you?

P.S. Gl1tch, of course your frogtal failed, you need about 12 pillars to get it to work with some resemblance of smoothness. You can't estimate the amount of green quanta needed with the QI since the fractaled frogs use a lot of unpredictable quanta, it seems you didn't count those.

Hmm, this looks like as good a place as any to say it.

As someone who believes the master system should be more democratic than the current system of skill with deckbuilding, I was always considering stepping down after two "terms".

After my embarrassing performance in the war, (every single deck that lost was my idea, and every single deck that one was someone elses.  Following this pattern, we should be 1-5), I've decided I'm not cut out for this position.

I'm really doing this for a number of reasons.  Maybe I want to see Life be better represented.  Maybe I need a break from the responsibility of it all (but that's a completely unrelated issue), or maybe I think there are flat out better people for the job (there are three I can name).

But for whatever reason, I make this decision sincerely thinking it is the right one.

I will not be going up for re-election when the next trials come around.

You have the right not to go up for a "re-election", but before you do, a couple of things.

Master program is not a popularity contest. This is not some political position which you get with votes, and where you have to resign when things go bad.

Only good reason to quit is if you don't have enough time to participate in the events as a Master because it can be time-consuming. If your main reason for quitting is because you feel you don't deserve the title, just forget it. Let them come and try to take that title away from you during Trials. If they cannot, you have proven that you do deserve the title.

No, my main reason for quitting is a make a horrible war general.

My vault never balances, my teammates are confused, and I just hate losing.  I'd much rather be a soldier than a master at this point.

Think of it in terms of :time's perspective: no matter what happens, you're always gaining experience. Yes, it's bitter to lose battles and be caught in the hectic mess of it all, but in the end, you gain an appreciation and RESPECT for at least trying to doing what you can to win and achieve what's needed for your element.

And you're not a horrible war general. If you were to simply say, "Psh, screw this. I don't care about War. I got a title and it makes me a god, blah blah blah." and just DITCH the team entirely, then you'd be a horrible leaderace.."

Besides, you're the master of :life. War doesn't exactly supports the ideals of life and giving birth/creation, rather than outright destruction and killing. ;)

Um.. you sure about that? :)

Looking at :life secret area, you (and team :life) have a done a great job preparing to round 2. In terms of how good the preparation looks, you guys are probably in the top-3. I don't see that as being a "horrible war general".

Besides round 1 results mean very little. We are having best-of-three without the chance to change decks. It's not as bad as flipping a coin but there is a BIG luck element involved in all this. It's true that teams like :earth prepared very well for round 1 which is why they were so successful. But there were a lot of matches that could have gone either way. If we did round 1 again with the same decks and players, results could be something totally different.

During Trials you fought for that Masters title. Like I said before, let them come and try to take it away from you, trying to prove you don't deserve it.

You stay on that battlefield, soldier, or I'll have your Seal of Awesomeness removed! :P

But seriously, I've been pretty sucky, too, and you don't see me giving up. :life has lots of advantages over other elements, and I'm sure you'll stab them back. Stay on the top. They need you to march to victory.

Considering this is the first war you've got to expect some confusion and mistakes (my vault has plenty), I'm sure the next war will run a lot smoother.
