Trial of Gravity lasted 6 matches with weird desynchs messing around with us.
Certainly much more deck variety than the previous trials.
Round 1
Firemaster vs Mono Gravity (Guards + Gravity Pull) 1-0
576 576 576 5f6 5f6 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 744 744 744 744 745 745 745 745 746 74b 74e 74e 74e 74e 74e 74e 75m 75m 75m 75m 75m
3 unuped gravity pendulums, 5 upped gravity pendulums
The point of the deck is to finish off the opponent by using rage potion on armagio or firemasters, but that never happened. Gravity pull killed some of my chargers at the start, but firemasters were enough to end the match.
Round 2
Deathstalker poison vs Wings 2-0
52u 52u 52u 52u 52u 52u 576 576 576 710 710 718 718 718 718 718 718 746 746 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 74b 74b 75m 75m 75m
6 deathstalkers, 3 unuped gravity pendulums, 3 upped gravity pendulums
This deck worked surprisingly well than my testings. I had 3 deadly poisons in starting hand with more deathstalkers coming. Jumba took a deck with Wings, the card he banned, but the wings were useless since poison goes through them anyways. He did have Otys, which made my deathstalkers die after one attack.
Round 3
Dune Scorpion poison vs Mono Gravity (Guards + Oty) 3-0
576 576 576 576 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 745 745 745 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 75m 75m 75m 7q0 7q0 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q8 7q8
4 unuped pendulum, 5 dune scorpion, 3 upped pendulum
I had a second turn Dune Scorpion that bit Jumba from the start. Again, Otys ate up all my scorps and chargers, but rewinds and eternity kept the yellow poison damage accumulating.
Round 4
Darkness Voodoo + Nightmare denial vs Antimatter 3-1
55t 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5uq 5v1 744 744 744 745 745 745 745 745 745 74d 74d 74d 75m 75m 75m 7t9 7tb 7tg 7tg 7tg 7tg
1 unuped nightmare, 3 upped pendulums, 4 voodoo dolls
This was one of the really weird experimental decks I tried. Initially I was about to go vampiric chargers, but I changed to voodoo doll gravity pull instead, and that was a damn good idea. ANTIMATTERED vampiric charger is bad.
It was pretty obvious that the deck was about antimatter, since Jumba had Entropy mark and I had banned Discord.
The next game, I felt more like playing my Fire Stall because my plan was to keep all my chargers in hand and play then when Jumba has 42 or less HP. I put down three devourers and two voodoo dolls, one of which I gravity pulled. Jumba, not knowing that I had dolls, had already put down a guard. Slowly his HP began to decrease due to his own guard. Soon, nightfall and vampiric dagger came out to add onto the damage even more.
When Jumba had about 48 HP, we desynched. I had 6 chargers in hand that I could've played next turn, and screamed in horror. However, I got even more terrified at going through all that again (and this time jumba wouldn't put down a guard) and forfeited.
Round 5
Deathstalker poison vs Oty + Plate armor, BB, Pulvy 4-1
52u 52u 52u 52u 52u 52u 576 576 576 710 710 718 718 718 718 718 718 746 746 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 74a 74b 74b 75m 75m 75m
6 deathstalkers, 3 unuped gravity pendulums, 3 upped gravity pendulums
I took the same deck as round 2. We desynched first, but in the next game I won with tons of poison counters and armagios teasing at Otys.
Round 6
Adrenalined Guards vs Adrenalined Guards 5-1
55q 55q 55t 55t 576 576 576 5c2 5c2 744 744 744 744 744 746 746 747 747 747 747 747 747 75m 75m 7an 7an 7an 7an 7an 7an
3 unuped pendulums, 2 upped pendulums
Yes. A mirror match, meaning I had an upper hand with 13 more upgraded cards. However, I assumed Jumba would have gravity pulls, and waited until he played a guard. That adrenalined guard got killed by another adrenalined guard, and I took out three guards more and won the match.
We had lots of annoying connection fail and desynchs, probably due to my stupid school internet service. Thank you jumba for being patient with that.
Anyways, great games, Jumba. I hope to see you in Team
for the war, and hope we can duel more evenly in the next trials.
