(I think I also made one other slight change somewhere... I think i was running running imp fog shield for 2-3 games over upgraded devourer... it was really an oversight that i fixed after noticing)

I'm sure all the players did what they could with they're skills AND RESOURCES. Unit is quite poor...

Counter-strategy was definitely needed here. Acelink fought all 6 matches with basically a same deck, and there would have been many ways to counter it. Not adjusting your game depending on what the opponent is doing is a sure way of losing.

6 x Shockwave (unupped) would have been a good start in getting rid of those Pests and Mind Flyer.

EDIT: I see that's what he did with the last deck. Too bad the rest of the deck was a mixture of 3 different strategies, leading to a situation where you do 3 things really badly instead of doing one thing well.

Oh, I acknowledge I did pretty terrible.

It's really just the Unstable gas that concern me. Poor choice since he would have known by then that Ace has steals and deflags. Course, maybe Ace just didn't use them or something.

Well yeah, he's strategy wasn't incredible, but I guess he REALLY had a low budget (100 Electrum ). Also, I don't think he's a Pvp veteran.

im not a pvp veteran. i spend most of my time on forums, trainer, farming. in that order. oh well. hopefully i will be able to get enough of a deck going next time and i might win.
