This is a new age of Masters.

This isn't really surprising though. As a community, we are becoming much stronger, so it's to be expected that many new members are powerful enough to challenge the veterans.

Obviously not to take anything away from challengers who have won mastery -- congratulations to them! -- but as I've been saying all along the Trials system, in my opinion, does not give a strong enough advantage to masters defending their titles. It should never be an even fight to remove someone from power.

I agree. I just meant that masters who had served 3 terms either lost, or came close to losing their titles this time. That must mean that challengers are generally becoming stronger.

Hahaha, I tricked you all! But no I really was planning on leaving. A few people in this community have talked me through my problems and now I can feel like I can stay, and I'm going to try my hardest to be the best Light Master that I can be.

I keep seeing people get all down on themselves lately, though.  jippy, ICB, and I guess I missed your problems, whatever they were.  If I can offer some small advice without seeming arrogant: being humble and being confident are not mutually exclusive.  It's clear you haven't got an overstuffed ego, but being humble isn't about being all down on yourself - it's about focusing on things other than yourself.  You're entering this post with a lot to prove, and the most important thing you can do from the start is show that you are sure of yourself.  People will walk all over you if you don't.
