4-1 now with me vs. Belt

He's got one chance, and you'd better use it wisely Belt.

I've only got to be luck once. You have to be lucky 4 more times.

That's it then, 5-1. Very nice games, especially the first one. You won more than any of the other Masters did, congratz :P

Game #1:
Code: [Select]
778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77h 77h 77h 77h 77h 77h 77l 77l 77l 77l 5um 5um 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t8 7t8Here, he played a sort of Nova/Cremation deck with Antlions and other cheap cards. I'd used Pests, just because I had no idea what his playing style was, but it turned out that he could do predictions and set up counter decks, so gratz to you Belt, for giving me a challenge. It came down to the wire, his Fog Shield vs. my Dusk, and I ended up having 20 hp to his 10, on his turn with 4 Shriekers out, he had a bunch of Antlions, a Lava Golem, and a Steel Golem. I was put down to 1 hp, and then ended the game. The Pests were actually pretty helpful, and blocked a Heal that would have probably won it for him.

Game #2:
Code: [Select]
58o 58o 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 779 779 779 779 779 779 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 77h 77h 77h 77h
So I switched to a generic Graboid rush, no Rewinds or QS, just a rush. He came at me once again with the Nova/Cremate Antlion deck, and I beat him pretty easily, since he didn't manage to get any cnovas and only 1 Cremate to stop his Fog Shield from coming out (Unupped).

Game #3:
Code: [Select]
58o 58o 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 77j 77j 77j 77j 77j 77j 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4A control based Graboid deck, he simply played Earth/Aether with more Antlions and, the least-favorite card, Phase Shield. They killed me, since once his mark started the first shield, it was impossible to hit him even once. He only needs 1 Tower out for 1 turn to keep chaining, and that wasn't too difficult to draw. In the end I simply spammed RT on his Ants, hoping he didn't have a Shield in hand, and losing the gamble. He'd have beaten me anyways, Phase Shields are auto-win against any deck without Fire, Darkness, Gravity, or something to Butterfly Effect.

Game #4:
Code: [Select]
58o 5f6 778 778 778 778 778 778 779 779 779 779 779 77c 77c 7dh 7dh 7dh 7dm 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dq 7dq 7dq 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7dsI came up with this on the spot, to actually give myself a chance vs. Mono-aether and any other deck he might care to use. It worked pretty well, and everything set up nicely after I got the quanta to send out a Phoenix. Then a few more came out with some Antlions, and a Diamond Shield nulled his. No destroyers until the last turn, up until than I had 15+ Fire Quanta, which let me to throw in some more.

Game #5:
Code: [Select]
58o 5f6 778 778 778 778 778 778 779 779 779 779 779 77c 77c 7dm 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dq 7dq 7dq 7dq 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7dsVaried the deck a bit, namely ditching the Brimstone Eaters for a Golem, a Phoenix, and a Cremate. I believe he played a freaky Earth/Entropy deck with Air mark for flying Discords, but Cremates>Scramble and Diamond>4 attack creatures.

Game #6:
Code: [Select]
749 74a 74a 58o 58o 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77b 77b 77b 77b 77c 77c 77f 77f 77i 77i 77l 77l 77l 77sDecided to do something else, while still prepared for the Phase Shields, my bane. He tried a similar deck, but it looks like Earth/Gravity gives incredibly bad luck, because he started with 1 Tower to combat my 4 with an unstoppable Dragon showing up on the 3rd turn. It was smooth sailing from there, and my Nymph came out to seal the deal and freeze his entire field, her first appearance in a game.

Very good games overall, Belt, and I wouldn't be disappointed to see you on the challengers list again, come the next Trial.

Game #4:

Game #5:

IF these decks are correct, and i hope they are not, its a problem, cause i only count 14 earth cards and you need at least 50%, so 15.

Ah, damn.

You're right. I originally had 6 Antlions when I made the deck, and then after putting in the Deflag and Pillar I must have taken one out to slim the deck down, it looked like there were 15 earth cards because the Deflag made it appear to be 15, I didn't actually count them.

We can redo those 2 matches if you want Belt, but the outcome probably wouldn't change, as I didn't even use that deflag (Which would have had another Antlion in it's place)

Ok, here's what's going to happen with this :earth battle:

Game 4: Terroking used an illegal deck so the win goes to Belthazar666. Very simple.

Game 5: Because game 5 wouldn't have happened after the discovering of the illegal deck in game 4, game 5 will be fought again. On a further note, had Belthazar666 won game 5, it wouldn't have been fought again.

So it's Terroking 3 - Belthazar666 2, and the battle continues.

If this sounds unfair, think about it like this: according to rules, Terroking would have been disqualified. However since this was the first "Final Battle" in the history of Elements and it was clearly unintentional, I'll let it slide.

If there are rule infractions we have to be very strict. If the only "penalty" is a rematch, it opens up tons of possibilities for cheating.

Let this be a reminder to everyone that READ THE RULES and build your decks BEFOREHAND triple checking that they are legal. If you play with an illegal deck, you have only yourself to blame for that.

That it would.

I'm perfectly happy to take a loss and redo the second one, I screwed up, it was totally my fault.

I'm ready when you are Belt, today would be best though, as I can't do it tomorrow. I'll try to check into chat every hour or so.

Should he use the same deck? I'd say he would, but you can change it if you like Belt, since I'm going to have to, technically, change mine.

Full restart is better in a situation like this. Otherwise one of the players might have an advantage because he/she knows exactly what the other person has. So no, neither of you have to play the same deck.

Good luck to you both.
