yep, another speculation to the games just based on bans
GG's bans:
discord: almost all gravity cards are expensive, good call on the ban
earthquake: again, gravity cards are expensive, with no immo to produce mass quanta, gravity needs its towers/pends
lightning: both chargers and otys are killed by lightning in one hit, so this is a pretty good ban
RT: expensive creatures, don't want to have to pay for them again
devourers: again... expensive cards...
flying weapon: a rather interesting ban, but I guess there are no other better choices (I may ban sundial, since it can stop momentum creatures from attacking, but i am not empress of gravity), i think GG is afraid of titans being launched at her...
all in all, GG chose pretty standard bans, so I assume she has varying strategies set up (one worthy note is that she didn't ban any PC, cept EQ, so she won't be relying on permanents all too much I think)

majofa's bans:
fractal: fractal chargers is quite scary...
flying weapon: again, an interesting ban, but titans are scary in combination with catas...
poison: I am not too sure if this is good ban, gravity already has momentum to deal damage through the shield... perhaps majofa is looking to use a sundial stall? or maybe a lobo+gravity shield?
EQ: same reasons as GG
discord: look EQ
adrenaline: GG has been noted to have used adrenaline mercenaries
all in all, I think majofa banned what he fears the most from GG, rather than what will counter his decks severely... (EQ and discord being exceptions, and poison maybe too)

Got two phoenixes and a charger out by turn 2, but he BBed the charger and haxed with fog.

As soon as I saw that mark, I cussed so much, because deathstalkers would be the perfect counter for this deck. However, his deck seemed to be a counter rainbow.

He put on some poisons on me and I had chargers up and soon we were damage racing. I thought I had the chance to win with my stacked lightnings, but... he had sundials.

Started off with a bunch of devourers and soon even more. Then we started a charger race. My devourers blocked his poison cards from coming out.

Soon, he had 4 hp left and had to draw a charger to win... and he did. RNG gods were in his favor. He seemed to be destined to be the master.

He had so many rage pots to kill his antimattered chargers and my chargers, but soon I took out a BEed armagio and bombed his pends while chargers dealt all the damage.

Got a hax draw. Two momentumed scorps on turn 2... then started rewinding his creatures for an easy win. He had a bad draw with 1 pend.

Mirror match, except his deck was based on Firemasters and mine on Phoenixes.

I despaired at my no pend/tower draw, but soon draw one and put out the three phoenixes quickly. Apparently they were faster than his firemasters, but i drew more creatures and soon outdamaged him.


I thought the gods were on his favor, but made a comeback from an imminent shameful 0-5 loss.

We agreed beforehand to not use SoGs.



One thing about this trials that gave me some ambivalent feelings was the fact that almost all decks were super rushes. Graboid/charger was his favorite, phoenix cremation/charger was my favorite. I hoped to see BB armagio decks and others, but guess there wasn't room for that.

My deck wasn't anti-Rainbow, it was anti-Dune Scorpion. But it seemed to work fine since her damage was slow. Chained Sundials for the win.

This was the deck I feared the most. I almost took my anti-deck, but chose to go with my nova rush since it also has a high win rate against it. Unfortunately, she got an epic draw and I got one Pendulum, so I couldn't over come her rewinds.
