I figured he would rush so I brought my defensive Masterpiece. He got me close, but not close enough. 1 - 0
Expected him to stall. He deviously went for the same deck again. However a series of 5 Silences played after Thunderbolting his sole 2 creatures got me a clear field until his last turn. 2 - 0.

Went for a gamble. If I won I would've been in great shape. If I lost I would've been in good shape. Bad draw and the gamble didn't pay off. 3 - 1
Just a good all-around deck. No chance against what he was using though, left when I saw the squid. 3 - 2
Hadn't seen anything that could beat this reliably. So I thought - why not? 4 - 2
This deck is just too fun not to use. Last 2 cards - my Rage Elixirs. 4 - 3
Hoped it would end here as I had no idea what to win with otherwise. 4 - 4
All his rushes so far had lost miserably. This would do well against medium-speeded decks and at least half decent against stalls. Hoped he wouldn't just kill me in the first 9 turns.
As the game started and I saw Firestall my heart sank. I knew this would be a really close matchup. It was. I was getting a good Poison counter on him, but he kept cards in hand and only Firebolted a couple of Dunes which was a mistake (unless he didn't draw the cards, which is more likely from a good player like him). In the end, I had 23 Poison on him and 1 Dune with 3 attack, as well as a Morning Glory (which popped up really late, btw) against his 38 Health and Solar Shield. His deck being only Pendulums put him in a rather troubling position, as had he Miracled that turn he would've needed another 4 turns to Miracle again, time in which I would've killed him. He took the risk and it proved to be game-ending as I double-blessed my Scorpion (one Blessing was topdecked) for the perfect win (7+8+23 = 3=38). 5 - 4
GGs RootRanger - you were a really valuable opponent (I am not just saying, I mean it) and I hope we will meet again next Trials.
