So I began with a mono to test the waters really on how fast I can go vs him. Could have went with a rainbow G1 too, which was what I thought other trialists would do. I thought he'd straight rush me too, and the Light Nymph choice was because they don't suck unupped vs Archangels. Obviously this folds as soon as the Gravy Shield hits. Also I played 6 ups only, because i swapped things around and forgot. Oops.

It occurred to me that upgraded Light Nymphs only needed 4 quanta to luciferin. A bit too threat-light but I couldn't out damage the constant 10hp heals. Dawn's right, ups mattered here

Game messed up and gave me a loss as I was talking to dawn as we DCed, but dawn said he lost AI and wanted to give me the win, which I honoured. Had the pieces (Nymph, Fractals, RoL, SoPa) before lock could happen.

With no Miracles I opted to go Sancs. Was afraid he packed Shockwaves plus I drew my Purples before AM so if he did I'd be screwed, but honestly wouldn't work against most light creatures so why bother. Also afraid of more SoFr, and got lucky with the AM hits but with the decks as-is it's winnable. Maybe should have split AM and Purples to give me two AM decks to play with

Time for dumb surprises, hoping dawn won't expect me to actually go play Hope again. This really should have been 31 cards just in case too. A bit light on damage, but it would probably work against most creature rushes if they don't have evasion or whatever. Or CC. Unfortunately SoPa Wardens is none of these things.

And of course dawn now busts out a deck that the G5 Hope deck could beat. 1 pillar start but I think I was too greedy on quanta regardless

So as a person who appreciates fun, I busted out a crowd 'favourite' because imagine the entertainment value if I could win. Plus I thought that dawn may also want to close out the game in a way I can't touch. Turns out the correct mindgate does nothing for me when your opponent is 'unlucky', and I get chipped to death by his Glory in weapon slot because he couldn't draw his AW. By the time he did, I was at 22 quanta and the jig is up anyway... You could say it was a
Blessing in disguise
Boooooooo!
All in all I had Crusader decks lined up and didn't use them. On hindsight probably should have, it's the easier route than to try to outrace his damage but I thought that I should at least try to outrace so that he doesn't think I'm going to stall in all my games. Eternity in particular I feel like I should have used earlier. Deck was stacked against me but at least I didn't fall on my face and go 0-5.
