G2: Death rush
G3: SoPa Wardens
G4: Eternity Splash
G5: OD 'Golems'
G6: Fractal Shriekers

G1 Mono vs AM Stall (L)

Early Titanium Shield sealed the deal, couldn't really win anticipating AMs and SSes to come. As a consolation at least I didn't really have to fear AM and pandas for the rest of the game. That's nice.

G2 Death Rush vs PU Golems (W)

Okay, pure rushes, mono or otherwise, didn't work. That's fine. Bring out the evasion. Upped advantage let me build this deck very low to the ground (No Steel Golems? No problem) and I guess the SoSac was a nice touch if I somehow get outraced but it's really a poison deck in case of shields. I did consider SoG/SoI myself but I didn't really like the feel of it (adrenaline on big golem be awkward). Against this deck, it showed

G3 SoPa Wardens vs NT Wardens (W)

Mirror match, should have won, I thought, but I didn't draw SoPa or Trident fast enough and Sept managed to 1 to 1 my own CC for most of the games. Then finally drew trident which broke the stunlock, alongside the Gemfinders just being buffed along the way meant I eked out a win. Could have played this one better too, shouldn't be this close

G4 Time Duo vs Novabow (W)

Time to see if I get punished for not banning Nova. Took the Time splash on this which made the difference, early Eternity more or less sealed the deal.

G5 OD 'Golems' vs Wings Stall (W)

More insurance against evasion, and this time I matched against the Wings I feared all game. More or less a counter but Sept drew real bad too.

G6 Fractal Shriekers vs Cremabow

Fractalled gemfinders, as I found in Phase 2, actually help defray the high costs of Shriekers quite a bit. So I expanded onto that. This was actually a dumb viable idea where I'd fractal his creatures if he played anything useful. Pity he didn't have any creatures to steal...

Once again thanks for the fun matches :)

Congrats, Master DoubleCapitals.  Well deserved win. Smart bans and resourceful play.  Thanks for the opportunity to STAND-IN.  Always fun to play someone who has put more effort in than the AI.  Pff..lazy AI.

Spoiler for Decks and Summary

Very good early draw, set-up quickly, Diamond shield on T2 or 3.  Very glad he didn't pack an eternity.

1 SOI and 1 SOG in opening draw. Drew into another SOI.  Didn't find 2nd SOG until mid match. Would have needed a perfect start to outpace SoSac. PU Dragon potential in case of wings.  Fun deck when it works!

1 turn from win.  Needed a bit more quanta draw earlier.  Can't complain about early control draw, I just happened to keep drawing more control when I needed to build quanta.  Trident was the MVP, without that, I would have won.  Most intense game of the match; DC played quite well and I'm sure it was stressful for SOPA WARDENS to be out-controlled so heavily early-mid match.

Build this couple hours before match, abandoning the planned pulvy-fog-bow.  I thought, "Hey, I don't have any death stuff and I should honor my buddy - A serious death warrior 152".  He'll probably tell me later it's a crap deck  :P because it is.

This was going to be a loss no matter what. Not drawing any earth quanta for ages turned this from a steamroll to simply pathetic. Actually felt bad for DC that it was so boring.

No Gnomes drawn entire game. Again, felt bad that there was no fight for DC and very anticlimactic.
