These were my decks:
Game 1:
Code: [Select]
5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5lb 5lb 5ld 5ld 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5li 5li 5li 5li 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 5mq 7jr 7jr 7jr 7jrThis was the closest game.  We had one desync, in which I was going to win, but it wasn't 100%, so we decided to replay it.  After the desync, I didnt get damage fast enough.
Game 2:
Code: [Select]
5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5ld 5ld 5lf 5lf 5lf 5lf 5li 5ll 5ll 5ll 5ll 5ll 5ll 5ur 5ur 5ur 7ju 7ju 7n2 7tbDidnt get quanta fast enough for crusaders, and lost with not a big fight.
Game 3:
Code: [Select]
5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5l8 5ld 5ld 5lf 5lf 5lh 5lh 5lh 5lh 5li 5li 5li 5li 5mq 5mq 5mq 5oi 5oi 5oi 7jr 7jr 7jr 7jr 7n2Kinda made this deck up on the spot.  Horrible draw and no damage killed me.

Matchup 1 - mono Light vs Light/Gravity.

Again, mono Light is horrible against Light, and Light/Gravity is not. Clear winner

Matchup 2 - Light/Darkness vs Light/Gravity (again)

No way to get past Gravity Shield or past Miracles for jippy, clear Ryan win.

Matchup 3 - Light/Air vs Light/Gravity (hmm, unexpected)

Seriously, Light/Air with Flying Stars is totally worse than mono Light vs Light. Not to mention that a counter to the Gravity deck would've been useful.

Actually, you used most decks through the trial over and over again, and all of them had counters that each one of us in the trials had already used. My antimatter countered your Vamp Stilleto as well as the Pegasus Rush. Had you used that Jade Crusader deck, you'd have won a lot, I think.

*sigh* I guess thats what happens when you sign up for trials in an element that you have little experience with.

No one here is trying to be mean. You, next time, just need to think abot how to counter that element. Me, for example, realized that all hard hitting light creatures have more than 5 life so i used grav shield, and anything else, killed by GP + I had enough cards to deck all of you out. That was my thought into my deck.

When your deck building to counter an element, look at Defence (Shields, CC) and Offence (Creatures, bolts) and quantum needed to play certain cards (Miracle, light dragons) then make a deck to counter the aspects of that deck.

If you run quickly through light you'll notice a few easy and fast counters. You don't need to pick something that works well with your element, you need to pick a counter to your own element and put it into effect within the Countered Element itself. Grav. Shield is a option, like Ryan said - Grav. Shield counters pratically all light creatures.

Now look at a few of my decks. Antimatter is a perfect counter to all creatures in light except for Morning Glory. Let the opponent bless himself and then heal yourself by double if it's a pegasus. Fairly easy.

Now let's look at light again. Light has Miracle, a much used card. So what counters Miracle? PC, or Pillar Control. Packed some EQ's and I beat a miracle deck, easily. As well as other creatures - Light creatures cost a lot, normally. Except for Ray of Light that is free.

And looking at light again, you could of use deflagration - You could even input rage pot's. Rage Pot + Angels isn't only effective, but it's commonly used and splashing in a deflag or two wouldn't be hard, and you'd counter shields like Fog Shield (Pegasus Rush), Solar Shield (Light Production) and Grav. Shield (Stops light completely.)
