There were no errors in play.  xdude played every card perfectly, and I considered every option before clicking.  Sample play: early one game xdude plays a dragon.  I have 10 quanta, and the only way for me to eliminate the dragon is to lance it and then play a nymph to rage it next turn.  He then triple blessed it out of my nymph's range. 

Really great games, xdude.  Among the most fun I've had in the game.

Edit: Because xdude was in the winner's bracket and I was in the loser's bracket, I had to beat him in two best-of-5 matches.  Each one ended 3-2.

I had a good start, but his was just better.

So close... Would've felt so much better if I hadn't had the fail draws. My goal this tourney was to disprove the myth that Light cannot take on other stronger elements, like Fire or Entropy... whether I succeeded in doing this or not, is mostly up to you all... But as far as I'm concerned... Myth busted  8) !

Lol... myth. I have heard of no thing. All i've heard is xdude=beast. I guess i shouldn't feel too bad since i lost to the top 2 elements.

• I was only confident on getting into the finals and on having a chance to win, whoever I'd play there. My confidence was well reasoned, it seems
• My lesson: never get 3 subpar on creatures draws and 1 subpar on Towers in the finals.
• My goal was just to make Light good, as I think I've proven I can win in the Trials even with upped  disadvantage. I succeeded in my goal, as far as I'm concerned.

Further analyzing the match, I saw that both me and kev made deck mistakes, while he made some play mistakes too.

My deck mistake: After seeing his decks, I should've used something like what I used in the last game more often, as that would always beat his Fire Stall, while still have a chance to beat the rush. Generally a better deck.

Kev's deck mistake: He should've rushed me with Dragons/Destroyers and Rage Elixir (and Fire Buckler). That would, in theory, beat all I could put on the table most of the time. However, I'm not sure if it can be balance properly with good speed, so I might be wrong here.

Kev'd play mistakes: I have 18/18 Dragon. He lets it live for 5 turns and dies, while having to Nymphs on the field. Suggested course of action: RE my Dragon once, then kill it next turn. Note: he might've lacked the quanta to do so.

This just plain never happened.  There was a situation where I had one nymph on the board, you had a creature with over six hp on the board, and I elected not to kill it.  But before you point out my blunders I'd ask you to consider the cards in my hand, our remaining health, the number of cards in your hand, and a number of other variables.  People should figure out I'm an idiot all on their own. 

Sometimes I'm messing around in chat and on the forums and I make errors in play.  I almost lost to GG during Round 1 of War 2 because I made such mistakes.  But here I was focused, cautious, and deliberate.  To be honest, I needed to be.

I'm sure you had 2 Nymphs on the field at one point... I forgot to mention I didn't look at your quanta levels, sorry.
