Bans : :earth Earthquake / :gravity Charger

Note that I heavily tweaked my decks and these are not the exact ones I've used. (and also I don't really care if other masters see my deckbuilding strategy or whatever, so don't comment on that either :P)

Round 1 - Loss
Code: [Select]
744 744 744 744 744 744 744 746 746 746 746 746 746 74b 74b 74b 74b 74c 74c 74c 74h 74h 74h 74h 75m 75m 75m 75m 75m 75m
Despite the threat of pulverizers, I decided to go with this deck. As I had expected, Terro took out a second turn pulvy. I managed to throw one Armagio for early 22 damage then stall with other armagios, but he simply had too many creatures and overwhelmed me.

Used a variation of this deck for the rest.

Code: [Select]
744 744 744 744 744 744 747 747 747 747 747 747 74b 74b 74b 74b 74c 74c 74e 74e 74e 74e 74e 74e 74h 75c 75m 75m 75m 75m
Round 2 - Win
He used the same deck, but had a failing draw and died after using one granite skin.

Round 3 - Win
Same deck again, but this time it was more towards stall with no creatures. I almost slit myself after seeing his diamond shield, when my deck had 6 guards. =_=

He used several granite skins, which was really annoying especially since the card was buffed to +75 hp. I felt really terrible for getting killed by a pulvy, but thankfully he didn't draw any BBs nor nymphs to stop my firemasters.

Round 4 - Win
Probably the most epic game I've ever played in my elements career. After pressing find opponent, I immediately regretted it because terro is likely pissed at his previous loss and would be going shriekers. I was right.

He BBed my first turn firemaster, which I somehow decided to gravity force. I still have no idea why I did that.

We smacked each other, him with shriekers and me with guards+firemaster+titan, until he had 3 shriekers to kill me next turn. I only had a 8|6 firemaster and a guard, and was about to lose unless i could somehow take out my massive dragon in hand... then terro BBed my firemaster.

I played my foil chimera, which became a 11|31 creature that blocked three attacks from shrieker and won the game with the titan.

Zeru took a ss of this:

Good games Terro, and sorry for winning against your almost-perfect counter deck :P

First off GG, let me say good games.

Game 1:

Code: [Select]
778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77a 77a 77a 77a 77a 77a 77b 77b 77f 77f 77f 77k 77k 77k 77k 77s 77s 78q 78q
Well... It was fairly obvious what GG would use, and the only way to have any chance against this deck would be via Firemasters, which I knew she wouldn't use until she knew she had to.

Easy 2nd turn Pulvy out, then some Golems followed. Drew both Nymphs, but they were dead cards as she didn't have any attackers.

Game 2: I used a variant of the first designed to counter GG's obvious next choice, Firemasters.

Code: [Select]
778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77a 77a 77a 77a 77f 77f 77f 77k 77k 77k 77k 77s 77s 77s 77s 78q 78q 78q 78q
I kept the Pulvies and more Pends so I could blow up her Pends and Gravity Shield/Titan. That worked, but I drew 7 Pillars, 1 Pulvy on the first draw, and the next two were Pulvies, and then 3 after were Towers, at which point a Drew a SS, a Golem I think, and died.

Game 3: Tried something else as GG would take some control for sure now that she knew I had 4 Nymphs (None showed game 2, but I said it in chat)

Code: [Select]
778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77c 77c 77f 77f 77k 77k 77k 77k 77k 77k 77l 77l 77l 77l 77s 77s 77s 77s 78q 78q 78q 78q
Designed to be a more deck-out type deck, the Armors were in case of Momentum+Oty, the BBs in case the Nymphs didn't work, Pends to blow up her pends. Everything else is obvious.

Well, it sort of worked. First turn pulvy, managed to blow up all her perms and Pends. After that, though, only drew 1 Nymph that got G-Pulled to death, a Diamond to negate her Mercs, and 4 (Maybe 5?) of my Stone Skins. They worked up to a point, and I was able to use them all at 75+ quanta except the first which I used around 65-70. However, I didn't draw any BBs or Nymphs to help stop her damage (Drawing a Nymph even if it got G-Pulled would mean it blocked her 26 damage Firemaster). Since my Pulvy managed to get her to 10 hp, I think drawing either 1 BB or two more Nymphs would have been my victory. I got down to a little over 10 cards without drawing either, though.

Game 4: Obviously, RNG did not favor my Pulvy decks, so I decided to go with the next-best thing, with BBs to eliminate the instant-loss Otys would normally make.

Code: [Select]
778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 778 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 77g 77h 77h 77h 77h 77l 77l 77l 77l 77l 77l
And it sort of worked... Early game she got out a Firemaster+Merc and could have killed my newly-evolved Shrieker via Grav pull, but I she had 2 :gravity and I couldn't do it if I BB'd her Firemaster, which I did. Then she Grav-Pulled it, which nearly cost her the game as I killed it very soon after and she didn't hand any way to deal with my Shriekers. However, outside of the 2 Graboids and 1 Shrieker I started with, I didn't draw any more... Drew 6 BBs and a ton of Pillars, but at the end when I had 20-something hp to her 38, she had 11 Gravity quanta and  was about 5 damage away from killing me next turn. If she had a Dragon or two Mercs in her hand, I'd lose. So I was forced to BB her 8/6 Firemaster, then hit her down to 8 hp. She played out her super-foil Shimera, which ended up being 11/31. I'd like to say here that if I had drawn another Graboid or Shrieker at any time that game, I'd have won. However... I drew another Pillar. Hit the Chimera down to 1 hp, and lost to it+Titan.

GGs GG
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

The spectate fails as usual, but I managed to depict GG's epic manoeuvre. When GG was about to die, she merged all her units into a single monstrosity, that stopped Shriekers. She used Terroking's Blood against him. Well deserved win.

I won't post my screenshot a second time since it's in the opening post.

Gratz GG, it seems like luck was on your side this time.

Yeah, mainly because EQ is pretty OP when you only have 1 quanta source (and you can't even protect it). However, it seems like Terro managed to get around that and pull out some nice decks (although he DID lose).
