Good RNG for me, terrible RNG for him led to some very undeserved wins for me imo :/

So Pdials is pretty much one of the strongest decks vs. Aether. But I had a pretty decent draw with early efficient RoLTal, and fractal dragon was sufficient to break through dials later on.

Zawadx 3-6 deuce22
When one must dance with the deuce~ One must face devastation
After breaking even in the first four games, an unfortunate deck choice rolled into two more which put me behind definitively.
ftr: With normal rng, I should've won Game 6 while deuce would've easily won game 8. Games 1, 3, 5 and 7 were also pretty even matchups which could've gone either way. So with super standard RNG, I'd be almost 5-4 vs deuce? Sounds pretty good, but I still have that final game to win before I can get to a mastery.

So I had only a few elements left, and best choices among them were RoL/Hope, This, SoG Dragontal and perhaps the Crawlertal. All of them except frogtal was extremely weak to gravytal, which was my prediction based on his use of strong decks vs me and not using gravy so far. Brought this... and was countered promptly by wings. Silences failed to serve here, as you would need two silences as well a sizeable board to beat him before dragontal; and keeping board was pretty hard vs EE.
So basically the problem with silence is that it fails to perform brilliantly. Even in decks where you put it in to break dim/wings chains, you need to get all the pieces together before it can work. Silence can be great at delaying fractal, which does net your opponent ~20 damage lost. But don't be fooled into thinking that the discard it forces vs MA is worth it; MA's standard damage output is too strong to be deterred by a silence. Silence is superior vs Fractix/Gravytal, but I never had those matchups. imo Silence's utility vs Aether's best decks (MA, Grabbow) is too low to favor it over lightning, unless you have a specific counter in mind. It also performs pretty badly with ~12 ups compared to a more upped environment. Silence's strength as a MTK enhancer is great, but it fails to beat the archetype it should counter best, stalls, simply due to sanctuary. Using silence is not a bad idea with a deck perfectly optimized for it, but don't bring less than 5 if you want to avoid post-match rage
