You mean the realization that you can build trios, quartets, and more as long as you have access to them, right?

You can USE in your first deck all elements connected on the diagram to your Trial-Element.  After that match you can only PUSH through one of the elements you utilized that first game.  Perhaps simply a difference in how you used the word 'push' and how Oni has been using it in the examples?

No I understood that quite well. In fact I had quite a nice rainbow I built for these Trials. I had merely thought that you could only push into one element: For example, if I had used water round one, I could choose to push into a gain access to Air or Time, but not both. I now realize my mistake >.>

After every game, you may push past an element that you used during the match. If you used more than one element, you may only push forward on one. Later on during the match, you can push through elements that you have used but haven't pushed through.

Yeah, only Water is being pushed through.  That enables the use of Air + Time if coming from Earth.
