Insanely close game. Kind of salty I lost this because I thought my deck was favored against his with the pulverizers countering a lot of what he used, but he got out a really early jade shield which pretty much won the game since it negated so much damage. Also top-decked my dragon later than he did (granted I was only running one copy so I can't complain too much about that but still). I spent a lot of time crafting this particular deck so I'm upset it lost, but I'm also glad it performed well and met my personal expectations for the most part. It's possible I could've won this by using pulverizer on different quanta sources earlier on, but it was too hard to predict what he had in hand and what he was going to need, so I just had to guess. Technically kaempfer won this game, but he did it using like 4 unstable gases to one-shot me. I banned unstable gas particularly because I knew it would counter a lot I was going to bring and I didn't want to deal with it, so unsurprisingly it beat my deck. However, I think this mono pharaoh deck would have beaten out several types of air/time duos but we'll never know so it's not worth speculating. Illegal deck win for me might have been a big swing that greatly helped me, or I might've won anyways and it wouldn't have matter, but again, speculation is simply that and we have to go with what happened. I think kaempf and I both wish we could've had a "real" battle here though. Screenshot below.

I got pretty hard countered here. Mono time with unupgraded and upgraded versions of time pillars and time pendulums as well as time marks(I think?) is the last thing you want to face when running a flying trident deck. Despite banning out EQ against me, kaempf made EQ resistant decks out of habit and it paid off big time. I had 0 chance this game.

Close game. Similar match up only mine lacked SoPa. I was lucky to draw my eternity rather early. However, kaempf got out arctic squid before I did and I thought I was in trouble. I packed ice bolt in this deck and that paid off very well. Allowing me to permanently remove a couple squids and get mine out safely (as opposed to simply RT'ing squids which I'm not sure I had enough quanta source to keep up forever). Intense match, but I think ice bolts were the MVP of this game.

I seriously need to do some research on rainbow decks because I suck at making them. I've been practicing them a bit in league and that's not going great either. Definitely a weak point for me in deck building, which is unfortunate because winning this game would have been huge for me. Not only would it help me and hurt my potential finals opponent, but it probably would have a large impact on phase 3. On a funny note, I put my fate in fate eggs this game, and my first fate egg turned into a golden dragon. Too bad kaempf got like a turn 2 or 3 eternity and put that goodluck to waste. GGs kaempfer13!
