[Time Trials] Belthazar666 3 - 2 Kuroaitou https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=19925.msg252492#msg252492

Very close games, the first 2 games I was screwed over by RNG terribly and wondered why I was even playing Elements at 4AM :/

First two games I used this deck;

Code: [Select]
5rg 5rg 5rg 5rm 5rm 5rm 5rm 5rm 5rn 5rn 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 624 624 624 624 7q0 7q0 7q0 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri
First game I had nothing but pends for a long time, with maybe one factory. Low quanta+high cost creatures doesn't go well. Almost won this with lightning at the end, but was one short of killing him with creature damage.

Second game I never got a second silence until he had an Eternity. He had a Procrastination as well, so I needed 2 so I could play Anubis+silence+Silence next turn and wait for the delay to go away to use his ability, then start playing dragons.

Third game

Code: [Select]
5c2 5c2 5c2 5c2 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rj 5rj 5rm 5rm 5rm 5rr 5rr 5rr 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri
Simply put, Heal beats out Pharoahs and scarab DoT, won this, score going 1-2.

Code: [Select]
5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rm 5rm 5rm 5rm 5rn 5rn 5rn 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 77a 77a 77a 77a 77l 77l 77l 77l 77l 77lHe played a Pharoah deck and got an early Eternity. I counted his quanta making sure I had what I wanted in anticipation of rewound creatures. Felt like I was playing 21 with all the counting. I won, 2-2

Code: [Select]
590 590 590 590 590 590 593 593 593 593 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rm 5rm 5ro 5ro 5ro 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 77j 7q4 7q4 7q4 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7ri 7riWe both kept our mark, I expected Pharoahs again. 4 or 5 turns into the game came out a Dune scorp. Near the end I misclicked and won with 1 HP- He had 30 health, I had 10 time quanta. I clicked an earthquake instead of dragon, double clicked cancel and evolved a graboid. He had 2 health, his turn game with 15 damage out to my 16 health. He didn't have another momentum, so I lived with 1 health and won the next turn.

Good games, Kuro. Least I won a single match up.

Ugh... congrats on your win Belthazar, but now we have to do a tiebreaker...  ??? :-\ :'(

(Sidenote - I completely forgot what I used in match 1, but I'm going on a limb here and saying that I used a certain deck based on Belthazar's description. Oops.  :-X )

Match 1: Win
Code: [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rk 5rk 5rr 5rs 5t2 5t2 5t2 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q3 7q8 7q8 7qc 7qc 7ri 7ri
"Heavy" PC-CC deck didn't really do much as I thought, since he wasn't packing Dimensional Shields (boo to that). I did destroy his early Procrastination, so my Pharaoh managed to stop being delayed and started pumping out 2|N Scarabs (I got the non-upgraded one in my hand). My Rage Potions never came up, but I couldn't use them anyway due to his Immortal Anubis that finally got out. I always keep thinking that I'm going up against an :aether stall during these match-ups...

Match 2: Win
Code: [Select]
592 593 593 593 593 595 595 595 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rj 5rk 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q6 7q6 7q6 7q8 7qc 7qc
My luck carried me through this one. I'm grateful that I got my -only- shield up to help delay his immortality tactic, but it was close. My earthquakes and well-timed Basilisk Bloods helped me get through the worst of the situation.

Match 3: Lose
Code: [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rk 5rk 5rr 5rs 5t2 5t2 5t2 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q3 7q8 7q8 7qc 7qc 7ri 7ri
Not enough CC for this one. His Frogs whittled me down - a Rain of Fire would have done them all in, while the Rage Potions could have been saved for his dragons. I think I managed to destroy his Procrastination here as well, but all in all, he drew his heals early, making it impossible for me to out rush him with Scarabs.

Match 4:
Code: [Select]
560 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rj 5rj 5rk 5rk 5rr 5rr 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q8 7q8 7qc 7qc 7qc 7ri 7ri
Terrible deck is terrible - I don't know why I threw that Chimera in due to the fact that it was so easily punished by a simple Rewind. I guess I was thinking that in case he had Gravity or Phase Shield up his sleeve, it could have been used as a last resort, but with Eternity around and no Hourglasses, Chimera was practically useless.

Match 5:
Code: [Select]
5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rg 5rj 5rk 5rk 5rr 5rr 5rr 5rr 5rt 5rt 5rt 5rt 74a 74a 74a 74a 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q8 7q8
*cries*

To sum up the outcome: He had 11 neurotoxin counters & 1 HP when I ended my last turn. He still beat me since I didn't draw my fourth Unstoppable. *sigh*

Very fun and intense games Belthazar666. Looks like we might have to go for a tiebreaker now... T_T
