I won the coin toss, but had only one tower.  Next turn I topdecked another tower, misclicked lycan instead of discord xD  I worried this would be my doom but Jen didn't have discord apparently.  Third turn I made sure to play discord this time and my devourer and draw another pillar.  I continued to draw my quanta and BE hit makings sure Jen's shields couldn't turn the game around.

I won the coin toss, but again had only one tower.  Next turn I topdecked a pillar instead of the tower I desperately needed.  At this point I really expected a discord (apparently Jen is prone to misclicks as well) but he dropped an abomination.  Third turn finally another pillar and played discord, lycan, and devourer.  Of course Jen's discord came soon, but I started topdecking my quanta and played my lycans, thanks to heavy quanta sources I never really had issues being able to play cards with discord scrambling me.  Even with Jen's miclick it ended pretty close.  Sorry about the bad luck here Jen

I saw Jen's mark and practically cried, Earthquake could be horrible for me without a strong draw.  I lost the coin toss but had a good hand (3 qp 2 ea 1 am 1 dis shield.)  Jen started off strong on quanta and played a werewolf, I knew EQ could very possibly come next turn.  So I feinted another one pillar draw and play very cautiously (with good reason.)  Jen then proceeded to EQ and CP his werewolf.  I laid only one pillar since EQ was still a threat and guess what, Jen played another EQ   Next turn I was able to EA my qp and was starting to draw into my huge quanta reserves.  I decided to wait and do an antimatter before a shield drop since I wanted to build up some quanta buffer.  At about 14 hp I was able to play am and shortly after dropped my dissipation shield with enchant artifact.  Jen nearly got me but I got some luck and made a comeback that didn't seem so promising at times.  I was hugely worried that he dropped a momentum in his deck and found it hard to play further antimatters with his shriekers draining my quanta.

Well that was fun - Congrats Matrim and thanks for the games:

Game #1:
Mat had a 1 pillar start - I had a 3 pend start - that's right 3 of the 4 pends in the deck - and no other quanta for the next 7 turns. Discord killed me with 65% of my remaining deck being pillars. Not horrid luck - but discord sure did its work messing up the quanta from both my needed elements every turn - 1 less that what was needed to play anything from my hand.

Game #2:
Mat had a 1 pillar start - I misclicked on turn 2 - the mouse was literally between the two cards - I could have sworn it was over discord - but I must have moved it in the act of clicking - I played a lovely Abomination and then was crippled by Mat's discord for the rest of the game. I guess it's not as bad a losing to an illegal deck - but wow - stupid mistakes are costing me this week.

Mat had a 1 pillar start (are you seeing a trend here) - I had an okay hand - but was counterdecked - a win was still possible but I needed some lucky draws and what I got was merely average -

Unexpected outcome and an uncommon misclick aswell.

I'd love to see the decks used once phase 2 ends!

And why is this unexpected? 
While I didn't get a large % of bets (likely because I am less known) those who did bet on me did with a higher confidence. 
I CANNOT let my fans down (all three of them?)

This result did and did not surprise me.  Having worked closely with all three (active) Entropy Trials members, this was actually my hardest bet to place.  The only thing that truly surprised me about this was the fact that that it was 3-0.  The fact that Matrim has 2 tournament victories already should be more than enough to show people that he excels with creative and dangerous deckbuilding.  Having worked closely with him throughout the Draft, I can also attest to this fact as his creativity and input have been more than valuable to our team. 

Whomever comes through these Trials will be more than worthy of being called Master, having gone through the three other (including Zeru) active Trials participants.

Yep I knew before this that Mat was a solid player but 3-0 just sucks. Especially considering how lopsided each game was.

Game 1:
I figured Jen would play something more defensive/controlling the first game, so I focused on denial and even attack/hit point creatures.  Since discord could be a huge factor I favored a build with fairly low costs and high quanta production. 

Game 2:
I had no idea what Jen would play at this point, and I was fairly disappointed in my draw, so I went with the same deck (since I hadn't built any others )

Game 3:
After a lucky game 2, I knew I had to switch decks and change tactics drastically.  Since I had spent no time building decks, but the 2 minutes before game 1, I went with something very simple  ???

Haha, respect for pulling off that third match.
You call it simple. I call it unorthodox and daring!
I like the other BE-Effect deck alot also (great vs the dim shields!)

No offense to Jen-I, cause you're a great player. But I think the most original and daring decks won this match, even if RNG played a role.
