[Air] QuantumT 3 - truddy02 1 https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=19862.msg251679#msg251679

These fights were unexpectedly nerve wracking. Both truddy02 and Hyroen are very worthy opponents.

Round 1

My Sniping Crusaders vs his Air-Time

Code: [Select]
5li 5li 5li 5og 5og 5oi 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 7k2 7k5 7k5 7k5 7k5 7k5 7k5 7n5 7n5 7n5
We both get hax shields out pretty quickly, but unfortunately mine wasn't doing anything. I managed to get out an EE and started sniping his lone dragon, but I got down to 22 hp and he sky blitzed his 13|1 dragon. Fortunately for me, my hax shield came through and allowed me to snipe off his lone dragon. Eventually he plays more damage and I get knocked down to 9, but a miracle the following turn removes basically any chance of him recovering.

1-0

Round 2

My Air-Aether vs. his Air-Entropy

Code: [Select]
5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 621 621 621 621 621 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7n5 7oe 7oe 7oe 7oe
This matchup is very nice for my deck. He gets off to a faster start, but eventually I start to chain shields and there's nothing he can do. His maxwells don't help him at all against my quinted dragons, which eventually beat him down.

2-0

Round 3

My Flying Glories vs. his Air-Entropy
Code: [Select]
5og 5og 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 7k1 7k1 7k1 7k1 7k1 7k2 7k2 7mv 7n5 7n5
I was expecting a switch to either darkness or fire after the shielding of the previous match, but he stuck to his guns and won this one easily. He got out a gigantic wyrm and proceeded to beat my face in with it.

2-1

Round 4

My Air-Fire vs. his Air-Time
Code: [Select]
5f6 5f6 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5og 5oi 5oi 5oi 5om 5om 5om 5om 5om 5om 5p0 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7ms 7n5 7n5 7n5 7n5
I was hoping he called a switch to some sort of Air-Entropy duo with it's giant wyrms and weakness to reverse time, so I went with a permanent based deck instead. He got a dragon out fairly quickly and I didn't have an EE to snipe it with for a decent period of time, but I had drawn 4 UGs, so I was threatening death with either the draw of one more or just a bit of damage. I draw the EE when I'm at 61hp (3 dragon blows), and proceed to kill his dragon the next turn with snipe and the UGs. The EE delivered the final bit of damage necessary to finish him off.

3-1

GGs man. That first one was especially nerve wracking. You played well, but my decks decided to work with me today.

Matches 1 and 4 were versions of this:
Code: [Select]
5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5og 5og 5op 5op 5op 7mv 7mv 7mv 7mv 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4 7q4In game 1 I had an OE in there and in 4 an azure dragon.

Match 2
Code: [Select]
4vd 4vd 4vl 4vl 5og 5og 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 7mu 7mu 7mu 7muMatch 3
Code: [Select]
4vl 4vl 4vl 4vl 5oi 5oi 5oi 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 6u2 7mu 7mu 7mu 7muVery good matches.  QuantumT did a great job of laying out how the matches went.  It is now unlikely that I will make the final battle but I am happy that  :air will have a fit master this time around.  I think I just wasn't quite there yet against two great air players.
