[6th Trials] Master's Tournament Finals - deuce22 3 - 2 willng3 https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=44374.msg1011340#msg1011340

ggs will, this was the type of matchup I expected the first time we played.

Game 1 - declared :darkness and :air (LOSS)

Deck import code : [Select]
808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80g 80g 80g 80g 80g 80g 80i 80i 80i 80i 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 8pu

drew 0 of 6 dims. He probably had deflags, but I would have played dims as soon as dragon came out to maybe give me a chance to stall him for a couple turns to try to outrush.

Game 2 - declared :life and :death (WIN)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80d 80d 80d 80d 80g 80g 80g 80g 80g 80g 80l 80l 80l 80l 80l 80l 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 8pu

topdecked 2 of my 4 dims. played first before he could fractal, played second a turn early to ensure chain. Easily outrushed thereafter.

Game 3 - declared :time and :light (LOSS)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7ju 7ju 7k6 7k6 7k6 7k6 7k6 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80i 80i 80k 80k 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 8pq

Knew I had to play an OTK deck here. Had an appropriate deck, but I severely misplayed by fractaling way too early. Not sure what I was thinking :/

Game 4 - declared :entropy and :earth (WIN)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80b 80b 80b 80b 80b 80b 80g 80g 80g 80g 80g 80l 80l 80l 80l 80l 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 8pu

Figured I could outrush anything he sent me. Cointoss win + poor quanta for will made it easy despite 3 heals.

Game 5 - declared :fire (WIN)
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7di 7di 7di 80b 80b 80b 80b 80b 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80i 80i 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 8po

Needed another OTK here in case of stall, was afraid of possible UG again, but I liked my chances regardless.

Game 1:  WIN - Elements claimed:  :fire and :earth

Deck import code : [Select]
5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 7ad 7ad 7ad 7ad 7an 7an 7an 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7dm 7dm 7do 7do 7do 8po

I half expected him to use the same deck as last time when I called Fire for my match, so I removed the Nymphs from this deck and threw in Firestorms instead.  Ended up working to my advantage as I managed to FS his Recluses right after he used Fractal, enabling me to out-damage him.  Also, 6 Pends in my starting hand definitely helped me a lot here by giving me a turn 2 Dragon. 1-0

Game 2:  LOSS - Elements claimed:  :aether and :water
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7ae 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 80i 80i 80i 80i 80k 80k 80k 80k 8pu

Far too predictable.  In retrospect I should have added Dims like my intuition told me to for a less one-sided match. 1-1

Game 3:  WIN - Elements claimed:  :time and :light
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5c3 5c3 5c3 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ag 7ag 7ag 7ag 7ag 7ag 7am 7am 7am 7am 7am 7ap 7ap 7ap 7ap 7ap 7ap 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 8pn

Won due to a playing mistake on deuce's part apparently.  Win via deck-out. 2-1

Game 4:  LOSS - Elements claimed:  :death and :gravity
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
718 718 718 718 718 718 71a 71a 71a 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ao 7ao 7ao 7ao 7ao 7ao 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 8pk

Intuition told me to replace the Arsenics with Bone Walls in case of a Mono Aether rush.  Drew all 3 Arsenics, but very little quanta producers so I doubt it would have mattered either way. 2-2

Game 5:  LOSS - Elements claimed:  :air
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5c5 5c5 5c5 5c5 5c5 5c5 5cg 5cg 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7ac 7aj 7aj 7aj 7aj 7an 7an 7an 7an 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 7n2 8pn

I was really hoping here that the Air duo I used during our last match would steer deuce away from a OTKish style deck and more towards Fractix or something rushier.  Didn't work apparently. 2-3

GGs deuce.

I think I did use the exact same deck :P
