Saw aether mark, was happy, put some dmg, then he started dim chain at 50 hp, played a nightmare to slow his fractal. then i waited and played steal double dragon mummy eclipse for the final burst.

Thought I had to use virus or some crap like that, thanksfully I have nymphs so I played nymphs, kinda countered here, and RNG were clearly not on his side.

Wasn't entirely surprised to see him starting with a wings/spider deck. An early FFQ, a miracle when I needed it and a late fog shield sealed the game, despite a turn-2 arsenic from ralouf.

Completely outrushed. I was expecting more CC from ralouf, so I held back an adrenastaff for an adrenatitan and was promptly killed for it.

I was lucky here - if it weren't for the illegal deck I would've lost thanks to Discord shuffling away all my life quanta and a misplay when I burrowed my first pest. I had the choice between burrowing or playing a Mitosis on it. For some reason I chose the former, and was severely annoyed when I didn't get 5 life quanta for the rest of the short match.

This is one of those ones where I tell you to compare the decks and come to your own conclusion. Would've been a lot closer if I hadn't made the last-minute decision to switch six Lightnings for six Dim Shields.

There was a reason I left hope out of my FFQ deck, and this was it. What I really wasn't expecting was the Grey Nymphs. On the other hand a plague would've wiped me out, but the theory was I would have a mitodragon up by that stage and a whole lot of Life Quanta.
That and I drew no Emerald Pillars in my top 13 or so cards. I only needed one so I could play a Rustler and get the life quanta flowing. Instead I was left playing a mono-light for almost the entire match.

ggs ralouf, despite the early advantage I had I knew you'd find a way to crawl back into it.
