it would be much more fun, if you make the final battle (or even better: also the challenger battles) with a "custom card list".

that means, every master is able to "ban" one card of his element.

now two options:

a) challengers and masters are not able to use the banned card of "their" element.

b) challengers and masters are not able to use the banned cards of all elements. (i would really like that)

the reasons for this system:
now it is easy for challengers and for the final battle, you can find really good decks of your element from last trials archive, and a challenger just have to rebuild it (and maybe add 1-2 "new" popular ideas with the new cards, like fractal phoenix'/frogs/chargers/devourers etc.) and thats then again some kind of rock-paper-scissors.
with the banned-card-system we would see a lot of new, fascinating deck ideas, it really tests deck-building skills of the players (not copy-paste skills) and no trial-event will be like the others.

I really like this idea as well.  And as a challenger, I wouldn't be opposed to the Master picking the card as long as we have enough time to consider our deck-building options.  Like he said, the less luck and the more skill involved, the better these trials will be.  I also think this wouldn't be a bad idea for the challenger vs. challenger round robin battles we'll have to do as well.

About the Master title... it is way more than a title you get on your forum profile for two months. You actually have to do stuff - the battles are only a tiny fraction of the Master experience. It is some serious responsibility that should not be taken casually, so if you are only looking for the title and bragging rights that you beat a good player, then this isn't for you.
Are you going to try to take the position back?  If you go for entropy I'm going to have a major problem.  If not I'd love you even more if you could give me general entropy deck suggestions.  I have a great idea but its still developing and it wouldn't be fair for you to build my deck for me.

Fractal Devs are the source of all evil.  They can be beaten but they're so annoying

I actually agree that for the Darkness trial, we should ban Fractal...
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

Again, coming from a challenger who has to face an opponent who gets this advantage probably prejudices me, but why the rule of only giving War bonus if you're fighting for the same element you were in the War with?  Is there a reason we're encouraging people to fight for the same element?  Why not give every player their War bonus?

Loyalty Bonus of sorts. You put the effort in for the team you are trying out on, so you have preferential treatment over others vying for the same element.

is this going to be discussed, or should i start building the same stupid decks, we know from last trials and war, again? (which will take me 15mins)

i know sg is very busy, but, this would be nice to know before anyone starts to build decks, etc.
