I hope people here aren't getting too upset and everyone does their best to respect each other. However, I enjoy myself some good rivalry and trash talk so I feel inclined to join the action. As a result I will make a bold statement and say that whatever team I join for this upcoming War is going to win the whole thing. And if my team does not win, I will save the next mark/nymph code I get and give it to the General of the winning team (who can then give it to one of their team members if they so choose). No risk on anyone else's part. Quote me on this. Good luck everyone and prepare to get your sorry selves destroyed by yours truly.

Trials has had the same rules for years. Even the final battle rules are the same, baning rules are the same.
So a master that has played a few trial final battels have all of their decks and ideas revealed which can't be said by their competitor. It also makes it very easy to copy decks from previous trials straight of.

This really have to changes. The trials final battle rules really, REALLY have to change in order to keep trials fun and competitive!

Trial finals is a classic moment of either master asserting their role, or challenger showing their ability vs existing master. Anything like a round robin moves away from passing on the torch

I'd be in favour of a WC style set of rules where masters need to combine their element with other elements that are specified, or have a pool of elements that run our as the match continues. Encourages a broader understanding of the element than just the 'power' decks.

But round robin is a terrible idea, needs to be a final battle.

yes that is totally the most important thing to change, let's ignore the fact of the community vote decided 10 out of 12 final battles last year, and just with a little bit investigation i discovered how much people vote at random

"nooo u can't be master u need experience, the master should reflect the community and the community should reflect the master u should also be able to teamwork since war isn't easy so the best system to decide this is an anonymous voting system

apparently we need 4 gens so send your application in private so we, wms and not the community or the trial overseers, decide privately who can be general or no
do you remember all that words during phase 2 like reflect the playstile of your element and be loyal to it etc? all bullshits pls hurry send those applications we need to create a blind auction system and try to make people believe is a draft system

Community may have decided 10/12 but rng decided 12/12 battles.
