Will the "alone challengers" receive the 10 points of the 1st place, even if they won't do any battle on this Phase ?

The challengers can only get up to 6 points for Phase III.

Quick Question: Does "You can take up to 6 cards from any element" mean that I can only include up to 6 cards per non-air and non-other element in my deck, or 6 non-air cards total?

I think its your first example, I believe you can use all the "other" cards as much as you want, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm pretty sure it's 6 non-air cards total. So a deck of 24 air and 6 light would be fine, but a deck of 12 air, 6 light, 6 fire and 6 life would not.
