There is never anyone totally neutral.

I don't see Cheesy or Oa truly gaining anything from playing 1 extra match so I don't see any reason to change it. If I change it based on 'experience' then I should have more strict rules on who can join depending on experience.

How am I avoiding the suggestion? I've answered multiple times. The experience argument isn't valid enough to merit a change. The neutrality argument isn't valid enough to merit a change. Them together isn't valid enough to merit a change.

The matches will not be changed.


More neutral than a challenger taking the 8th spot, less neutral than if was defending.

There should be a specific time before the end of dueling phase that decks must be posted by (for challengers). As it stands now an illegal deck can only be discovered after the fact - it can very often turn a 3-1 into a 2-2 that needs a replay (either disrupting the event by making everyone wait or inappropriately awarding a win). If for some reason we won't require them after the match, at least set a time (say 3 days before phase end?) or make people PM.

Master's tourney was quite a bit funnier than last time this time round.

Random suggestion with the inactivity problems (cal getting into finals with a single match, for example) : have a personn outside trials (possibly trialmaster) fight these.

Oni refused every occasion in trials where we asked for someone neutral to play, pretty much.
