Yep. You send in 2 cards per element, including light.

I am Air.
G1: Use Fire and Light
G2: Push through Fire, use Gravity
G3: Push through Light. May I use Earth as a result of having pushed through Fire?

Bogtro, I think that's yes from onizuka's answer. I take particular notice at the rule so as not to make mistakes  , and so...this

As life.
Start off with earth, water, death.
G1: Use earth and water. Push through earth.
G2: Can use Death, Gravity, Fire. Use fire, push through fire.
G3: Can use Death, Gravity, Air, Light. Use Light, push through water.
G4: Can use Death, Gravity, Air, Time. Use Time, push through time.
G5: Can use Death, Gravity, Air, Aether. Use whatever.

This is a valid way a person from life trials can go through. Hopefully cleared up in rules that previously used elements that weren't pushed through can be still pushed through later in the match.

In the same way, it applies to air. The yellow part doesn't make sense but i didn't qs further since it's understood as using water (next game) after light.
Take notice that I can still use gravity. It means that the push through effect is permanent tho one can never use the same element twice

As air:

Start with fire/light/water/time
G1: Use Fire/Light, push through Fire.
G2: Can use Water/Time/Gravity/Earth. Use Gravity, push through light.
G3: Can use Water/Time/Earth/Darkness. Use Earth. (Let's just assume you win 3-0)

Perfectly valid. As long as you have access to an element and haven't used it, you can use it whenever.

Clarify: Not sending in a card will cause it to be randomized. If you can send 2 and only send 1, 1 of each will be random'd.
If you exclude an element, it will be random'd.

This could have definitely been made more clear in the rules.
