Phase 1 - Proving Your Worthiness
Phase has ended

This phase is different in each Trial. It usually has something to do with helping out the community, but it can also be something where you show your skills as an Elements player.

Below the three tasks are listed. Each participant must choose two, and only two.

TASK I
Brawl Related Skills

• Create a card that would take the place of a card already in game. The card chosen should be a card that is generally considered either underpowered or overpowered.
• Write lore for the card.
• Create a second card. This card must be in a different element from the first one, but it has to work nicely with the first one.
• Write notes on how do the cards work.

• Card submission details: You may create threads for the cards and submit them to the Crucible if you wish, but you are not required to do so.  If you are submitting to the Crucible, here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5039.0.html) is the procedure.  For your Trials submission simply follow the first two steps of card creation in that link, and post the images in your Phase I Trials submission (example provided at the end of this post).
• Yes, you may include art for your cards.  The art has to be original, but the lack of it won't cause a submission to be judged bad. It may make a difference for the extra points.
• You do not have to include both unupgraded and upgraded versions of each card unless you want to.

TASK II
Deckbuilding

• Divide the 12 elements into 4 groups of 3 elements.
• Build with one of these groups a Trio deck that can reliably defeat halfbloods.
• Build with another one of these groups a Trio deck that is ideal to farm AI3.
• Use one of the remaining two groups to build a deck for a False God (The false god has to use the deck). Still trio.
• Use the three elements remaining to make a deck built of 45 cards or more.
• Build a deck that can make creative use of a shard, no elements restriction.
• For the trios, free cost cards/generic cost may count if they are NECESSARY for the deck (no, rols in a immorush are not necessary).
• Immolation,Nova and their upped versions are banned.
• Decks can be either upgraded or unupgraded, but they have to be original.

TASK III
Building the Game

• Write the patch notes for Elements 1.32. (As in New Cards, Balance Changes and New Features).
• Do not assume this task is easier because you're given complete freedom. This will be task I will be harsher while judging.
• New cards have to be chosen from Crucible. (or your Task I, if you completed it and you'd like.)

IMPORTANT NOTES

• Put all of your completed tasks in one post in this submission thread (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,43688.0.html).
• You may complete your tasks awfully, but that will be considered. You may get either 3 or 0 points for this, depending on how bad was the submission.
• There is no limit for the text on Task I, but try to be neither too short or too long.
• I will try to review submissions as they're added, note where and why credit was not given, and update the Trials Standings thread with completed tasks.  Players can expedite this by submitting well before the deadline and catching my attention.  But ultimately it's up to each player to make certain they've followed the directions.
• Remember that how well you do during Phase 1 and the nature of your submissions will most likely affect your score during Phase 3 (the vote). Just sayin.

You can use them, just try to not build the deck around them.

If the change isn't really big (e.g. +1 cost), yes. If the change is +3 cost, +4 attack, +5 defense no.

Are cards that are not in specifically Level 1 - Crucible not allowed? That really makes little sense considering the vast majority of cards that are at all suitable for the game are above this level.

Sadly, it wouldn't be an original deck.
