Spoiler for fixed: Masters TournamentMasters Participating: deuce22 Jenkar nilsieboy willng3 10 men RavingRabbidDeckbuilding Rules:Matches are best-of-5.No upgrade limit.66% minimum for in element, rounded upBefore starting a battle, both masters will declare the elements they wish to use during the match by PMing a third person. (Each Master then builds a deck.)Masters may use up to 9 cards of every element declared.A declared element cannot be used twice in a bo5 match. On the 3rd and 4th match, Masters may only declare a maximum of 4 elements. On the 5th match, Masters must use all elements declared for this match. You may use any Mark, regardless of the elements you've declared. No Rare cards (Shard, Rare Weapons, Nymphs, Squid, Miracle, Pharaoh) may be used more than once in a bo5 match.Standalone Mark Cards are pillars of their respective elements. Also, can we ban shards please? If not, can masters make a mutual agreement for each match?
Shards are 'other' ? - you need to call 'other' to use them.Or their respective element? you may use your element's shard freely (as in once)
So willng3 and I were having our mathc and there has been some confusion about the rares rule. This is what I thought was legal:Game one I play a deck with one Shard of Patience (but not more).Game two I can play one Shard of Patience again if I wish (but again not more). This is what willng thought:Game one he plays six Shard of Serendipity. He may not use them game 2 or in any game after. How many of us are right. Also if my interpretation is wrong I played 3 illegal decks and if willng is wrong he had (at least?) one. What to do there?Feedback: Formulate rules more clearly.

Ok. So as far as I can tell, the following applies.Matches will be played in a best-of-5 (bo5) games format.Mark cards are to be considered pillars of their element. Before each game, both Masters pm a third party (specifically the same person...) some elements which they 'declare.'The information given to the third party is then shared with both Masters. Both Masters are then given a chance to build decks, knowing vital information about their opponent.During the following game, each Master may only use cards of their element or up to 9 cards from each element 'declared' prior to deckbuilding. These steps are repeated for each game of the bo5 match, however, three more stipulations apply. 1. Before the 3rd and 4th game of the match, a maximum of 4 elements can be declared. 2. Before the 5th game of the match, each Master may only declare elements they WILL use during the 5th game. 3. Each Master may not declare an element more than one time each at any time during the match. Also, any rare card (Shard, Weapon, Nymph, Squid, Miracle, or Pharaoh) can only be used in one game throughout the match.Lastly, you can use any Mark (not the cards) during any game, regardless of whether or not that element was 'declared.'These stipulations only affect the match against a specific opponent. A new opponent is a fresh start. This is the most logical interpretation I could reach of all the prior statements made by RR, including the Rules themselves and any clarifications afterwards.
For the rest, it seems that Napalm got the elements question quite right.
