Or maybe one ban could be specifically for the new cards, or for the buffs to the old stuff. If that isn't used, then both sides lose 1 ban. If 1.27 comes out before the battles than those bans become relevant.

Maybe people should be allowed to ban the new cards, but if they aren't released have a back up ban that will be used.

Let's write something like this:
Photon
Spark
Miracle
Abomination
Mitosis/Shard of Readiness
Gnome Gemfinder/Reverse Time

Basically, if you are banning a new card or a card that changes in 1.27 then:

- the card is banned if 1.27 is released
- the alternative card is banned if 1.27 is not released
- if you write a card that changes in 1.27 but no alternative is mentioned, that card is banned regardless of the patch situation

Great job Istari. That makes both sides of the argument happy. There is a possibility of using new cards (more exciting trials) and bans are risk free.

Why would you hope something like that? The best moment to release a patch is.. when it's ready. The sooner we start finding bugs and broken combos the sooner those will be fixed and Zanz can move on to the next idea in development. That is what the trainer is for, but it's not a perfect tool (not everybody is using the trainer, AI 2, AI 3, AI 4 and AI 6 decks are different than in the normal game). Pvp event is not a good enough reason to delay the development.

Just to avoid troubles with banned card. If new version is implemented after the end of time to ban cards, we'll have new cards that maybe someone wanted to ban...

Giving banning alternatives would easily work for me, we can't expect zanz to change the date of an update just because of a pvp event. In case it gets out during the final battle we'd have to wait untill it gets into the bazaar IMO to make sure everyone has an equal cardpool at her/his disposal. Poor xdude will get another volley of pms if this could be agreed upon though ^_^

Ah, there appears to have been miscommunication between pika and me. We agreed on a mutual ban for SoG, but he told me he'd post that here, so I figured he meant it would be the 7th ban. I'll have to talk to him about that.
