The betting is weighted, so betting on an underdog has a greater payout than betting on a favorite.
- This scaling is determined by the upgrade advantage and is also affected by percent of bets each player receives.
- In the event of a tie we will "figure out something on the spot (that probably involves chat dice)"
Happy betting!

And because the TrOs know you love it, they are bringing back the betting mini-game as well! Do your best to guess how the community will bet and try to figure out:
The Close Call- (match-up with the most evenly distributed bets)
The Obvious One - (the person with the most bets (or the least bets) <- will be the same match-up either way)
These Odds Seem Right - (the match-up where gamblers bets closest approximate the initial odds)
The Not-So-Dark Horse- (the initial underdog who receives the most bets)
The Bookie is Nuts- (the match-up with the biggest difference between the bets and the initial odds)

The bats have been tallied, and now we just wait for the results!
And the results for the mini-game are in too. Winning bets are:
The Close Call- (match-up with the most evenly distributed bets)
:aether, with deuce22 claiming 15/26 bets!
The Obvious One - (the person with the most bets (or the least bets) <- will be the same match-up either way)
:water, with 25/26 bets! That's one more bet than last year (when it was 24/26)! That's over 95% of the bets going to one person!
These Odds Seem Right - (the match-up where gamblers bets closest approximate the initial odds)
:fire, with a 3.03 voter effect!
The Not-So-Dark Horse- (the initial underdog who receives the most bets)
:life, with underdog Mr Muffin receiving 20 bets! I guess winning war as a life general does pay off.
The Bookie is Nuts- (the match-up with the biggest difference between the bets and the initial odds)
:entropy, with a 13.08 voter effect as iancudorinmarian claimed 24/26 bets!

Now that the votes have become public, I would like to say that I voted the underdog in most of the cases because that's the way I felt. Also, I voted my rival (d2d) not in order to give him a free win but because it felt strange to vote myself. Finally, I have never voted STANDIN because I wish for every element to have a master.

Actually this should be how betting work. You should always bet for the opponent instead of the team you are supporting, so that if you lost the bet which means your supporting team wins, or you win the bet as the compensation for the lost of your team.

* Basman-1453 shudders whether Gambler boost (War) should be allowed to bet a 0-3 and then put in a practically-suicide deck to go with that boost.

This is a thing. People do that when they want more relics instead of less discards.

Keep in mind that conversely, when you win the match, you still lost something and if you win the bet you had to lose the match.... :-\

This. ^
Btw, losing a master's title can not be replaced by winning an extra bet.
