GINYU: There should be more than just the three of us.
TRASHDUKE: What do you mean?

DRAGONSDEMESNE: I do not know, but I shall destroy them!
GINYU: No, we need to find them. They could be in danger.

SEULINTSE: Well, I wouldn’t really say they’re in danger.
MRPAPER: Because they’re already dead.
TRASHDUKE: Why would a Time Lord be working with a Silent?
DRAGONSDEMESNE: And why bring along a statue?
SEULINTSE: You won’t really get an answer to that.
MRPAPER: He only talks when nobody can see him.
SEULINTSE: I think it’s social anxiety.
GINYU: You three are actually working together to bring down the Sontarans?
MRPAPER: You must be stopped before you have the chance to bring back Gallifrey.
SEULINTSE: The Time Lords would be more than you could handle.
MRPAPER: And the universe would burn for eternity. They must never return, no matter the cost.
DRAGONSDEMESNE: We are not afraid of bureaucrats in silly hats.
TRASHDUKE: Nor are we afraid of you.
GINYU: Nevertheless, we shall be leaving. Come on, boys.
(Ginyu, trashduke, and dragonsdemesne exit. Ginyu presses a button on his suit, and the Sontaran headquarters explodes.)

WILLNG3: We are alike. We are both the last descendent of our race. Together we could upgrade the universe.
DDEVANS96: You propose an alliance?
WILLNG3: This is correct.
DDEVANS96: I don’t care about that. I only have one goal.
WILLNG3: And what is that?
DDEVANS96: Revenge.
(ddevans96 slices off willng3’s arm.)
WILLNG3: You have cut off my arm.
DDEVANS96: Now you shall suffer as the Ice Warriors have!
WILLNG3: Incorrect.
DDEVANS96: What do you mean, incorrect?
WILLNG3: I will now upgrade.
(willng3’s arm rebuilds itself, becoming even stronger than before.)
DDEVANS96: That’s impossible. You can’t be that powerful.
WILLNG3: Cybermen grow stronger with every battle. I will soon be unstoppable.
(willng3 uses his upgraded hand to crush ddevans96’s throat.)

PUFF: Here we are at last, Weeping Angel. Do you have anything to say?
PUFF: Of course you don’t. You can’t speak. You can’t even move.
(The lights flicker, then shut off.)
THEELKSPEAKS: Now I can.
PUFF: That’s a cool trick. But if I can’t see you, then you can’t see me either.
THEELKSPEAKS: Who’s there? Who am I talking to?
PUFF: See, I have an ability myself. Maybe you’ll figure it out one day. Probably not.
THEELKSPEAKS: I remember this now. Whenever I can no longer see you, I forget.
PUFF: Impressive. Most don’t make it that far. All the more reason to kill you!
(Puff raises her hands and releases a wave of electricity, destroying everything nearby.)

MONTROSSEN: I’ve finally found you. The last Dalek in the universe.
AFDARENTY: You are an enemy of the Dalek Empire! You must be destroyed!
MONTROSSEN: There is no Dalek Empire anymore. They’re all gone. It’s just you.
AFDARENTY: Then what is my purpose?
MONTROSSEN: You have none. Your life is meaningless. Just end it.
AFDARENTY: No. There is just one thing I want to do before I die.
MONTROSSEN: And what could that possibly be?
AFDARENTY: Exterminate!
(Afdarenty zaps montrossen with his laser.)

MAJOFA: Doctor. Speak with me. Doctor! Face me now!
MAJOFA: If you speak your name, the Time Lords will return.
ROB77DP: If they return, they will come in peace.
MAJOFA:It doesn't matter. They will be met with a war that will never end.
MAJOFA: The Time War will begin anew. You know that, Doctor.
ROB77DP: They're asking for my help!
MAJOFA: And if you give it, war will be the consequence.
MAJOFA: I will not let that happen, at any cost. Speak your name and this world will burn.
ROB77DP: No, this planet is protected.
MAJOFA: Why did you ever come to Trenzalore?
ROB77DP: Well, I did come to Trenzalore, and nothing can change that now. Didn't stop you trying though, did it?
MAJOFA: Not me. The Kovarian Chapter broke away.
MAJOFA: They travelled back along your timeline and tried to prevent you ever reaching Trenzalore.
ROB77DP: So that's who blew up my Tardis. I thought I'd left the bath running.
MAJOFA: I'm not interested in changing history, Doctor. I want to change the future.
MAJOFA: The Sontarans are massing for war. Three days ago, they attacked the Mainframe itself.
ROB77DP: They attacked here?
MAJOFA: I will not be alive much longer.
ROB77DP: Oh, don’t say that.
MAJOFA: Once I am dead, there will be nobody to stop you from bringing back the Time Lords.
ROB77DP: No, just think this through. You don’t have to do this.
MAJOFA: I am sorry, Doctor. But the survival of the universe depends on it.
(majofa presses his hand to rob77dp’s heart and electrocutes him.)

PUFF: It’s over, right? The Doctor is dead, and the universe is safe from Gallifrey.
MAJOFA: Not yet. Reports show that the Sontarans plan to bring back Gallifrey, in order to destroy the Time Lords.
PUFF: They wouldn’t stand a chance. The Time Lords would wipe out half the universe.
MAJOFA: The Sontarans do not think clearly. They are a danger to everyone.
PUFF: What are you suggesting?
MAJOFA: We must take them out, once and for all.

Afdarenty and I might have some difficulties scheduling this round.  I am out of town until Saturday evening and due to IRL things I won't be able to set a specific time to play, and he has the reverse; his PM to me stated he can play any time -before- Friday.  I'm not sure if an extension will help him or not, but it would work just fine for me.

I propose that Afdarenty gives his 5 decks, numbered for Games 1 to 5, to a substitute player, who plays against dragonsdemesne on Saturday/Sunday. I believe this is fair, because few players would be better than Afdarenty at playing his own decks.

SoSac stall vs Ragepot SoFos. I was lucky enough to draw my 4 poisons early here. I got them all in before his SoFos wrecked my quanta. I avoided playing the rest of the pillars and pends to avoid him recovering through black hole, though I placed three at one time when I was certain that he wouldn't be able to blackhole (no 31hp sofo) just so I can get a SoDiv in. He didn't draw much damage, so I ended up winning with a comfortable amount of HP left.

Fearing SoFos, I brought this lightning splash. I was lucky enough to draw lightnings just when I needed them, and killed Charger(s?) and SoFos with them.

Another SoFo hate deck, which got countered this time by GPull titans. I got a good amount of damage early but it was blocked later on by GPulls on his titans.

"Not really what a firestall should be doing" vs GPull titans. Got a morningstar early which poked him down to bolt range, while I stalled with SoDivs, Dials and a Miracle.

Edit: I never saw the catapults so I called it GPull titans. Now that I saw the decks, looks like I got lucky here.

Vs. Firestall. I still can't believe I lost. She had an early Morning Star, while I - again - didn't get any Catapults. Got all but 1 or 2 quanta cards and all 3 GPulls with just a little bit more than the half of my deck. This could have become an interesting fight, but that way I had no chance. LOSS

Lost coin toss and was unsure early-game if dragons had Lightning - so my lone Devourer I had in-hand forever didn't hit the board.  I lost this by allowing quanta build-up for Fractal and Dim-chain start.

Lost coin toss again and hence Charger #1 and his Fractal'd buddies hit table about 1 turn prior to my being able to effectively deal with them.  I did draw enough Steals to take down Dims and early Vagger hence it was close - about half-turn slow.

Embarassing embarrassing embarrassing misplay here by rob77dERp. Instructions from Afda:

Obviously Drain and Bolt are interchangeable card uses and yet I ignored the advice.  RNG saw fit for dragons to draw both SoFo and both Nymphs early but also to gift me four early, soon a 5th, and mid-game the sixth bolt.  However, I properly used the first two on early SoFo then for some dumb reason went crazy and bolted a 0|5 Oty turn before an Amber hits the table.  Of course, my turn I'm 1 short of bolting the Amber and rest of the game I am quanta-locked from bolting.  I did get within about half-turn of pulling it out due to Vagger OP.
Sorry Afda - this misplay was not good and I do apologize for that and your now being out of the event.

I was a bit late on the fractal, but rob had a pretty slow draw, slow enough that I wasn't sure whether he was devtal or PU dragons.  By the time he got 10 aether quanta, I'd been hitting him with a charger for about 3-4 turns, and had a 2nd charger and 3 dims in hand.  When he fractalled, I played the 2nd charger, since he only had 1 aether quanta at that point, and I got a fractal eventually to win it.  I had enough quanta that he couldn't drain it all.  This game wasn't very close.

Same deck... fractal dims OP.  This game was much closer, however.  Turn 2 dagger chipped away at me, and he stole a dim or two and drained several chargers, but I managed to squeak it through.  Rob figures I won basically because of the coin toss.  I am about 90% sure he's right.

I should not have won this game, period.  However, I had a perfect draw (minus no early SoP) and rob made a fatal misplay.  He got the dagger turn 2, and I played a shard of focus right after; it got lightninged.  I played my 2nd shard of focus, and he lightninged that, too.  I played an otyugh (had a squid out also) and he lightninged the otyugh.  I capitalize on his one aether quanta remaining and play an amber nymph.  He never has aether quanta for the rest of the game.  The second amber nymph comes down a couple turns later once I have the quanta, and I just sit there until I get a shard of patience.  (I had to be quite... patient, it took awhile to draw one...)  At that point, nothing could be done; he was gaining about 2 darkness quanta/turn, and wasn't able to reach OTK levels; he'd also have needed I think 6 dragons or 5 dragons+nightmare at that point to OTK, but his quanta was in the 30s.  I kept a drawn gravity shield in hand in case he was playing steals, which was a fairly real possibility.  He tried to rush at the end with 3 dragons+nightmare, but the 1 otyugh + 1 squid I had was sufficient to hold that off.

edit: zomg he had thunderbolts in the 3rd deck... I'm even luckier than I thought...

vs. a large stall which this deck was designed to break.  I popped a druid staff early which healed from the morning star, and also a gravy shield which I imagine shut down his creature offense (maybe I saw a light nymph towards the end, I forget?), then powered through 3 miracles with a few juiced armagios and a SoFo.

Vs. his blessed pegasus deck, my early disco trolled hard but he got one out with a blessing and a few dives... he blessed it again which turned out to be bad for him because I had drawn the gravy shield which could then shut his offense down.  I eventually got the nymph and the dragons going.

vs. a light stall with nymphs and RoLs...  early nymph which slowed him down, but the disco eventually came and then I was able to lock him down.

Has majofa been active in the last week?  I have sent him 2 PMs and haven't had a response from either.  He has also not posted his round 6 decks here.  (which is why I am posting in this thread rather than the general one)
