I suggest to lower the cost to 5 or less for the rule

Why is it that every single tournament rules out my deck. I mean really, I'm not allowed Phoenixes in this, not allowed my off colour stuff in the mono tournaments even though my mana sources are all the same colour, not allowed Immolation in the pillarless ones, don't run enough water cards for Duality (I run 3), not enough new cards for "The New" (I ran 6 when Phoenixes counted) etc. etc.

I beat everyone in league but I quit that because it was all about how much time you could sink in, not how good your deck was.

Because you only have one deck.  If you want to get involved in PVP stuff, you really need to have access to multiple decks.  Not only does using the same deck make you predictable and counterable, but you also need to have flexibility for special-rules tourneys such as these.

We can do a cheaper cheapskate later on. There's a benefit to this, and that's the fact that we can see what this limitation results in. After that, we can decide whether to intensify it or not.

Agreed, and I also like the decision of not lowering the cost limit as was suggested later on(while leaving open the possibility of doing so for a future tournament).  The late announcement and constant changes were my biggest complaints about the last tournament and the main reason I didn't participate, so it's good to see that being addressed this time around

Hmm... I think I will get back to you guys with banned lists for 5+ and 4+ cards because I quite honestly don't think that 6+ is cheapskate-ish enough. I can think about way more decks that DON'T want any of these 6+ cards than I can think of decks that will be hurt without them. Please consider lowering. Debate on this please
