You can always predict what decks will be most prevalent once rules are up. I don't think this will be as lacking in variety as many other tournaments have been, and I am 100% sure there will be decks no one has yet mentioned here. Doesn't matter if you can predict the simplest builds; the purpose of special rules is to force people to optimise, optimise, optimise. That always takes skills.

well, you can treat this as an open tournament without any rules since it doesn't affect most of the decks.

we should have a habit that keep track with the rule once it is released.
of course we can give suggestion but please leave it to the next tournament and stop changing time to time just like the previous tour.

I have to say, I think it's a bit silly to complain about things like "This tourney is going to be boring/monotonous because I'm going to see a lot of [insert deck that you think will be abused because it has whatever advantages]," or "I can't use my regular deck." Really, the whole point of these special-rule tourneys is to be on your toes and out-think your opponents. You think a certain deck will be dominant? Make one that counters it. You think a lot of people will think of a counter? Think of a deck that will counter that one, and so on. It's good to have your own speculation about things that will be overused, because then you actually get to fine-tune your deckbuilding skills by making different decks. The winner of the tournament usually isn't the one that uses what everyone else is using; it's usually the one that is a step ahead.

In regards to the latter complaint, if you really want to play whatever deck you want, just go play a random PvP1 or PvP2 match. Or just wait for when there's a random unupgraded/upgraded cards tournament, which comes around every so often.

I like these tournaments with special rules; as it is, I think the rules are fine. As was said before, having the rules at banning cards with 6+ quanta leaves things open for a different tournament (a more cheapskate kind). And besides, if you change the rules to banning cards with 5+ or 4+ quanta, I'm sure people will think of decks that that will be "overused" for those rules too.

(Wiki article that might help for tournaments: http://elementswiki.co.cc/articles/limited-deckbuilding/. I liked it, anyway.)

We do, and you know we do. We almost never change it. As you know, why it had to be changed last week was because it was released in extreme hurry, and needed to be optimised. As I said then, we were lucky to have one at all. There is nothing to stop, since it was a one-time thing, and thus there is no reason to complain. We do this without any reward whatsoever, and we do our best. I'd rather have a late tourny than none, or one with broken rules, and I think most would agree on that.

They don't have to cost under 6. Just not over 6.

:entropy Maxwell's Demon

:life Rustler, Forest Spirit
:fire Fire Spirit
:light Photon, Pegasus, Guardian Angel
:air Wyrm, Firefly, Dragonfly
:time Deja Vu, Scarab

:aether Spark

Quite a lot we can afford. However, we do have Web to use on Spirits which speaks even more for growth decks with Quints.

Because you only have one deck.  If you want to get involved in PVP stuff, you really need to have access to multiple decks.  Not only does using the same deck make you predictable and counterable, but you also need to have flexibility for special-rules tourneys such as these.
My problem is that I have a winning deck and not once have I been allowed to use it. I've tried actually using pillars but the one time I entered a tournament with special rules (besides the fate deck one) I lost round 1 and it took me a week to recover the deck cost.

Your problem, not tournaments.

Don't enter tournaments if you want to whine about costs. Only top1 prize matters. Every time you sign up to a tournament, be prepared for costs. Electrum for cards and time, 2-3 hours.

I see your arguments as this:
"I want a tournament with no restrictions, because I don't have money/skills/adaptability/creativity to prepare a good deck/decks. I really want it. Every week. Therefore all tournaments from now on should be limit free."
Correct me if I am wrong.

While I do appreciate having the tourney up earlier in the week (and that the rule change is happening days before the actual event), it'd be a good idea to have the rules for a tournament settled upon before posting it.

I do ask, why the rule change? It seemed fine the way it was.
