Special Rules
Use any of the preset decks (see below, sorted alphabetically).
You are not allowed to:
  • Add or remove any cards from the decks listed.
  • Change the marks of these decks.
You are, however, allowed to unupgrade any number of cards from the upgraded variants.
Preset decks contain an upgraded version (first) and an unupgraded version (last). Unupgraded decks are sub-optimal, but won't suffer from dead cards.

If you really don't have the rares you can choose the following, note that these options must all be unupgraded (to prevent tactical switching rather than switching out of necessity):
  • Replace a rare weapon with a Short Sword
  • Replace an Arctic Squid with a Freeze.
  • Replace a Pharaoh with a Scarab.
  • Replace a Miracle with a Holy Light
Attention: Decks for CHAOS LORD, DESTINY, DARK MATTER, DREAM CATCHER, FIRE QUEEN, MIRACLE, NEPTUNE, and SCORPIO have been changed in the interest of balance.

hmm, you haven't managed to eliminate tactical unupgrading, as for in the octane deck, i can only ever imagine seeing the animates un-upped so it doesn't mess with the fire quanta.. but still, a very good tourney. Hope i can get to this cos i haven't got to one for a while.

I personally enjoy the additional strategical aspect of unupgrading certain cards, such as expensive Dragons. :>

Attention: Decks for CHAOS LORD, DESTINY, DREAM CATCHER, FIRE QUEEN, MIRACLE and SCORPIO have been changed in the interest of balance.

False Gods with 2 or more different weapons no longer need to carry both. They now only carry a single weapon, more effective of the two. This is fair considering that players are allowed to switch out rare weapons for short swords, effectively nullifying the weakness that false gods with multiple weapons have. MIRACLE's deck, containing two different shields, has also been modified to only include the solar buckler.

Original post will soon be modified to reflect these changes.
