QuantumT 2 - Salamence 747 1

Good games man. Sorry to make you wait so long. Congratulations on your finish though.

And thus concludes what I'm almost positive is the longest weekend tournament ever at 5 hours long.

It's not the most efficient way to get cash, but I think it's the most fun. I'll spend it wisely.

Banning RQ for final round made things interesting. GGs, ofc.

I'll definitely keep it closer in mind in future upped tournies.

Why, thank you. Also - Thanks god I didn't face it - But annoying would be the aflatoxin played on you during this tourney, which would result in more stall. I for one, just quit my last match publicly in chat after it was clear I would lose because I did not want to carry out another very-long-match-ever. (But KDZ beat me to it with anti-deckout decks in prelim. Both him and his opponent. Ouch.)

And now, we shall all input this in the "Elements - The Records" book as the longest tourney.. ever.

@kobis: I did not swiftly dismiss it at all. I explained why I hadn't done it. People complaining is due to the different reason I stated above. Sass doesn't help anyone here.
it certainly doesnt help you since you are still as stubborn as ever
you see my suggestion as something minute...not worth looking into, since you assume people wont be using RQ decks
here let me refresh your memory...

Yes, I considered banning SoG's as well, but I think most don't want to stall the entire tournament by running rage quit decks, and I don't want to ban something that can be beat by tactics that are available (flying Glories with Explosions or quinted flying Titans if the stall brings PA). As such, I kept the SoG's as a utility.
kerwords bolded
you thought... but the turnout is different because guess what, people are still using RQ decks
you werent here for the whole duration of the tournament (i wasnt either for the record but i catch a glimpse of the tail end)
the majority is unhappy that RQ decks are allowed and not banning SoG played a big part in that
you can never expect or assume people to bring counter, thats not how it works
thats akin to saying to the participants "well fellas, its your own fault for not preparing for it"
the problem wouldnt even exist if you had prevented it in the first place
i had a screenshot from chat of the reactions from this decision but i wont put it up here because it will discredit you a lot

for the future, please dont make assumption and try to listen to the community
we only want whats best for everyone, thats it

I know exactly what I said, which is why I reminded you that I did not swiftly dismiss your suggestion: simply explained why I didn't do things that way, which is exactly what I did. Yes, people used it. We've both seen that. That's why you predict it and bring counters. That's metagame.
I haven't made a single assumption; I simply made the decision to allow them as a utility, not as a game-breaking tool (since it can be easily beaten). As for the community, most didn't mind SoG's when I set the rules. You are not the community; only one voice. I also haven't rejected either your opinion nor anyone else's, so I really have no idea why you're this hostile.

That you assume I've forgotten anything or assume anything about what people will do says more about you, and so does this pointless flaming. Last warning: stop it; it's not constructive to anything.

Not banning the SoG's were a good idea, but capping the max number of them would be one. Also, banning Aflatoxin (  I don't think there were many during the tournament, but I think there were a few ) would also probably make the RQ decks die.

But then again, that is what the tournament is all about - Fun, Deck building, and making counters. (Or making so much epic rushes. Or my random 20 QP, 4 Water Pillars and 6 nymph's tears deck.)

Hm, that's a good idea, Dm. Soft limitations. Thanks, I really need some positivity to keep my motivation for organizing up when you get so much bile and so little appreciation. No wonder jumba stays in the background, kdz is taking a break and Rasta is leaving. It's gotten ridiculous.

rasta leaving has nothing to do with him being a TO
or maybe you hear something different from what rasta told me personally? in any case, better leave him out of it and
lets not twist something into what its not, shall we?  :)

in any case, tourney has ended, how about we get this locked and proceed to tournament feedback & suggestions for any suggestions for future tourneys

Nobody is twisting. Also, being a TO is really hard. You have to wait for those 5 hours, playing or not, and you still have to be like "Spam bracket, spam bracket, spam bracket.." *5 mins later* "Hey, where is the bracket?". TO's work quite hard to organize all of it and they should get more consideration from the TP (Tournament Players, abbreviated for no reason  :P). Even setting up the rules are hard as rules might make people go "Oh no, why?!" and stuff. Also, there are times where hackers or other problems do end up appearing, which only makes the job harder.

Yes, I've talked to him about it. Not twisting anything, simply mentioning it as part of it all. As for this thread, we always keep them open for comments far into the week. Suggestions and discussion is fine. Which reminds me I have prebuilt decks ready for next week I need to tweak in the morning.. ah, prebuilds are always popular.
