Yeah then we all pack control and you either pack uintessence or lose. 2 decks without it wait for deckout, 2 decks with it is whoever draws more weapons first.
Kind of kills the variety of choice.

and I plan on using creatures so I'd prefer if they're not banned

Is this an official rule to the tournament or not? I have a deck that's 50/50 creatures/weapons and am thinking about adding one more creature. If it's a rule, it's not stated in the first post of the tournament thread.

Just make sure you check right before the tournament for any changes. It will be a bit embarrassing and you get kicked out if you enter with an illegal deck.
