My Opponents Calindu, Jen-i and Blacksmith agreed to ban the two mono aether decks and the grabbow one. Thank you guys. This was more fun to play without the three decks.

These bans only changed the target for other 3 decks, then not solve much.

I submitted the 10 quantum pillar/life mark highlander deck.  (blame or praise may now commence)  I wasn't able to make it (6am tourney, and had plans at 9am) and didn't realize the conflict until after I submitted the deck.

I really like the ideas behind the six mindgate deck and the six flying weapon deck.  They're just about the only ones that don't strongly imply what the other six cards are going to be every time.  (I tried to do that with my deck, but anyone who used it probably used six cockatrice, or possibly heal or mitosis)

At first glance, the three decks that appear to be the strongest to me are the two monoaether dimshield decks and the fire/darkness deck.  (one would be spider or psion fractal, probably psions due to the mirror and the other would probably use six lightnings).  With little to no PC possibilities in any of the other decks, these would probably have been very strong.  The fire/darkness deck looks like it would be the best counter to those, due to PC for the dims, and the possibility for various CC cards depending on what people were using. (fire bolts or rain of fire most likely)

Seriously, you guys destroyed the tourney, obvious decks that can beat everything else

The water mark rainbow(What card you can get in to be actually usable? Too little quanta for Steam, maybe Chrysaora would have worked, but not really)
The time mark rainbow(What card to get in to be usable?)

Mindgate deck(You can get Lightning/Dim in, and it would beat a good majority of decks, but not OP)
Life/Water deck(You can put adrenaline(fast deck)/Forest Spirit(Can beat CC decks maybe easier)/Cockatrice(More fast creatures)

I'm not ashamed to use the most of what the rules allow. Who should be ashamed are the players who steal (happened to me twice in tournaments).
Both decks I created (NovaGrabbow and MonoaetherDragons) were adapted to the rule limiting without rare. The list Grabbow used a BL base. Aether already created totally baseless, just thought it would look good, and I added cards, while initially created with 14 pillars, and MegroN suggested I replace 7 by pendulums.


This is a fun and functional deck that I wish I had also sent, but how could only send one per player, just getting out.

I don't really care what you used, but the 2 decks you sent(and the other one) just destroyed the metagame of the tourney.
What do you mean of stealing? Lol, everyone can use every deck that was posted, if you sent it then expect everyone to be able to use it.

cal i have to say the reason these decks wre bad is because the first instinct was to turn them into grabbows, psionatal and essential people just saw that i used the grabbow skeleton but i didn't make it into a grabbow i chose to be different the fact that is what community sees not what the reality is the grabbiw skeleton could have any number of cheap earth cards i chose eq myself but you could easily have used hematite amongst other earth cards what the community sees and what the reality actually is are two different things. what the skeletons became was based solely on what the participants saw not what they were thanks for backing up my opinion on the majorities deckbuilding preferences.

Well this time I have to agree with call Odii and others. The point of this tourney was to make decks that wore skeletons and that easily could be modified into many other different decks. In other words no set card that the deck is made to have. 

I think this should go in feedback but anyway.

• I think you should have been able to change mark I think that could have made it easier to make skeleton decks with more options especially for duos.
• I also think each player should have been able to send in more than 1 deck since that would have increased the number of fun deck in the tourney.

However I liked the idea and looking forward for a 2#, with the suggested changes.

I think that Calindu insult a person who is entitled to use the rules is a shame, the meta was destroyed because nobody sent things better, example voodoo dolls decks, or RT-based, shame is knowing that you had no creativity to send skeletons best for this tournament. and still think you can insult others, and unfortunately it destroys the harmony, for nonsense like this. congrats by decks Washi

my first match against MegroN was great! (vamptal vs adrenatears) the others weren't as good with both of my matches being against mono aether...

i would have prefered this if people hadn't had sent the boring, uninspired decks but instead, sent in imaginative decks that would have made the tourney more fun. the fact that 2 people sent in mono aether is quite depressing to me but i like the decks like mindgate and NT that i hoped more people would have used

This type of rules are fine, they simply need a small fix: TO decides what decks to accept and fills in the gaps with pre-made fun decks that don't suck too much.
