The final game of the finals deserves special mention.

I see air mark, I'm thinking it might be wings.  Lots of aether quanta comes out, and now I'm wondering if it's something like spider/wings or fractal something/wings.  I don't see a 3rd element yet.  I play my graboids, but don't evolve them the first turn, since lightning or shockwave could be out there.  Danieela passes again, and I evolve and start rushing.  Another few turns go by without her doing anything.  I don't have a trident, but I do have an ice shield, so her quanta is building way up.  Then a silence comes down.  Okay, that didn't matter, only have RTs with no target and a topdecked pend.  And, that means no dims or spiders.  What the heck IS this deck?  Keep rushing.  Then fractal firefly.  Oh... that's what this is; hope incoming.  NOT good, with no early trident to slow her down.  Start RTing fireflies, keep rushing.  Hope comes down for 6.  She's almost dead, but that hope... RT another firefly.  Danieela down to 8.  No more fireflies (other than topdecked one) or fractal.  Danieela down to 4.  Danieela doesn't topdeck a firefly or fractal.  Shriekers take it for exact damage.

Yeah I did a bit of a wtf when trident was allowed on the list, too; I speedbuilt today, since I woke up late, but that stood out immediately to me.  I was also pretty surprised that nymphs were legal, but as it turned out, they weren't OP today.  (I only used them once, and only faced them once, and in both cases, the nymph side lost)  I was a little surprised nightmare and firebolt were banned, but I guess they were trying to prevent ghostmare and firestall.  (don't think ghostmare would've been a problem, but firestall would have)

You can deal with trident in a lot of ways and it also has summonin sickness, you can't deal with EQ. And if you can deal with EQ, you can deal with trident as well.

happens that "summoning sickness" is pretty silly here because the meta or mod is slow enough to put trident fast in play especially when you have the coin. also I can do one deflag deck but I don't know if will be competitive enough in this mod...
