NOTE: You need just one presentable forum post to be allowed to join tournaments; you can post it here. If this will be your first tournament, a Tournament Organizer will test your knowledge about the rules. So please be present in tournament room 30 minutes before the tournament starts.
Special Rules- Always read the second post! It contains equally important information most of the time.
- Shards are banned.
- Upgraded cards are allowed, but not required
- Every deck has to follow the rules of one 'Poker Hand' (see below). You can't use the same 'Poker Hand' more than once per round, and not more than twice during the whole tournament. After each match, you must state which 'Poker Hands' you used.
- You can always use any Mark.
- Discord, Earthquake, and Trident are banned.
Spoiler for Poker Hands:
Straight(Royal) Flush - For every element you use, you must include exactly 5 different creatures. May only use up to 1 copy of each creature. Non-creature cards can be added to those elements without restrictions.
4 of a Kind - Choose one element: You must use exactly 4 copies of 1 card from this element in your deck. May not use any other cards from the same element, excluding pillars/pendulums. You may add off-element cards without restrictions (excluding 'Other' cards).
Full House - Choose two elements: You must use exactly 3 copies of a card from element A and exactly 2 copies of a card from element B. (Example: If you play a Fire/Water duo, you may include 3 Fire Spirits and 2 Chrysaoras. You can then add more cards of those elements as you wish, as long as you don't add more Fire Spirits or Chrysaoras.) 'Other' cards are allowed, but do not count as a used element.
Flush - For each element you use in your deck, you must have exactly 5 different cards. May only use 1 copy of each card (except Pillars/Pendulums/Marks). Pillars/Pendulums/Marks do not count as one of the 5 different cards and can be used without restrictions. (Example: In a Fire/Water-duo, you may include 1 Ash Eater, 1 Fire Golem, 1 Phoenix, 1 Immolation, 1 Fahrenheit for Fire; and 1 Chrysaora, 1 Ice Bolt, 1 Dry Spell, 1 Ice Shield, 1 Purify for Water. You can then add any number of Pillars/Pendulums/Marks from Fire and Water.)
3 of a Kind - Choose one element: You must use exactly 3 copies of 1 card of that element. You must not use any other cards from that element, excluding pillars/pendulums. You may add off-element cards without restrictions (excluding 'Other' cards).
2 Pair - Choose two elements: You must use exactly 2 copies of a card from one and exactly 2 copies of a card from the other element. You must not add cards from other elements. 'Other' cards are allowed without restrictions, and do not count as an element.
1 Pair - Choose one element: You must use exactly 2 copies of a card from that element. You must not use any other cards from that element, excluding pillars/pendulums. You may add off-element cards without restrictions (excluding 'Other' cards).
