Where? Please enter the Tournament room at least 15 minutes before the tournament starts. Click "Rooms" in the top left to find it.

Rules Please read the PvP Tournament rules carefully before signing up.

Prizes 1st 7,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon) 2nd 5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark 3rd 4,000 electrum 4th 3,000 electrum 5th 2,000 electrum 6th 1,000 electrum

Players who lose their quarterfinal (Top 8) matches will compete for the 5th and 6th place prizes in a mini-tournament. Prize-eligible players (namely, ones in the top 8) who leave the tournament without notifying the Tournament Organizer of their intent are considered to have forfeited their match, and also their prize.

NOTE: Players with fewer than 10 forum posts are not allowed to enter tournaments. Spamming low-quality posts to reach the minimum post count needed to participate will not be tolerated.


Special Rules

• Always read the second post! It contains equally important information most of the time.
• Upgraded cards and shards are allowed, but not required.
• Each deck must include 6 (or more) copies of at least 1 card type from the Special List.
• You have to include 6 copies of each card that you use from the special list.
• You cannot use more than 4 copies of any card types that are not on the Special List.
• For every element you use in a deck, you must use 1 unupgraded card.
• For every type of shards you use, you must use 2 more unupgraded cards.
• For each copy of shards you use, you must use 1 more unupgraded cards
• The number of "mandatory" unupgraded cards can't exceed the deck size. See FAQ for more details.

TOURNAMENTS FAQ

Q: What are "mandatory unupgraded cards"?? Isn't the tournament upgraded?
A: Yes, in this tournament you can use upgraded cards; but there are some rules that force you to use some unupgraded cards in your deck. For example, for each element you use, you've to use 1 unupped card; it means that if you're using a 30 cards monodeck (without shards), your max number of upgraded cards is 29. If your deck is a 30 cards duo (shardless), you can use at max 28 upgraded cards.


Q: How does the mandatory unupgraded cards count work, using shards?
A: Pretty simple. For every type of shard you use, you've to use 2 upgraded cards; for each copy of a shard, 1 more upgraded card.

This is my deck, a 30 cards monoQP. As you can see, it uses 29 upgraded cards, since i've to use 1 unupgraded card for using 1 element.

Now, I want to add some shards to this deck. Let's add a SoPa; I've to use 2 more unupgraded cards for the shard type, 1 more unupped card for each SoPa copy, 1 more unupped card because SoPa is and it would be my second element in use. So, after adding 1 upped SoPa:

Adding more SoPa's would force me to use 1 more unupped card for each copy.

If instead I want to add another type of shard to that deck, for example SoV (2 copies), the number of mandatory cards is so calculated: 3 elements used ( Others,  ,  ) = 3 unupped cards; 2 shard types ( ,  ) = 4 unupped cards; 3 shard copies (1 SoPa, 2 SoV's) = 3 upped cards. Total of mandatory unupgraded cards = 10 cards.

Q: I've calculated my number of mandatory unupped cards and it's 34. It means that I can play my 30 cards deck fully unupgraded?
A: Nope, it means you cannot use a 30 cards deck; the number of mandatory unupgraded cards cannot exceed the deck total. If you've to use 34 unupgraded cards, your deck must have at least 34 cards.


Q: Phoenix (for example) is not in the list, I can use 5 copies of it in my deck?
A: Nope. The max number of copies of cards that are not in the Special List is: 4.


Q: Can I use, for example, 3 Quantum Pillars and 3 Long Bows in my deck to get 6 copies?
A: NOPE. For each card from the Special List you use, you've to use at least 6 copies of it. For example, if you're planning to use Nova, your deck must have 6 Novas. If you're planning to use Nova and Immolation, your deck must have 6 Novas and 6 Immo's.

Side note: we're using the form "at least 6 copies" due to the presence of Quantum Pillar in the Special list.


Q: What about pillars, pendulums and mark cards?
A: All pillars/pends/mark cards (except Quantum Pillar|Tower) can be used without any limitation.


Q: "Others" will count as an element used?
A: Yes. "Others" in this tournament is counted as an element. So, if in a mono deck you add even 1 Quantum Pillars, the deck will considered as using 2 elements.

I can understand why it means it is more newb friendly but as a majority of tourney participants partiularly in upgraded are not totally newb. So yeah maybe a fully upgraded tourney might be in order every so often.

to save on double post why are these upgraded tournies always at awkward times for.

I guess i'll try and be there but no promises this looks like a more varied meta than the last tourney I participated in.

Once and for all: we (TO's) are not evil entities spending their spare time trying to find the most unsuitable time to play a tournament. We're following a rotation, began long time ago.

We're also making polls in every tournament thread to fill, one day, a tab with the most suitable time to play; but it requires a little bit more of time.

Moreover, we used to comunicate stuff, but now I've to ask you all: do you know the existence of this thread?
