I built a lot of decks, but these are the ones I used:

Firestall

4so 5cq 5cq 5cq 5cq 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f7 5f7 5f7 5f7 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fb 5fk 5fk 5fk 5fk 8pn

I figured firestall would be a -huge- part of this meta, so I made sure to build one, if for nothing else than to understand what my opponents could do with the build.  1-0

Speedbuilt this for justaburd.  I lost because I didn't get a discord.  My first had was 2 pillar 3 dragon 2 sog... not good :p  0-1

Roflgate

No... seriously, this is actually good in this meta :p  With firestall being an obvious choice, the emerald shields spell near-doom for it on their own.  Mindgates against opponents who are guaranteed to be using life is also a good thing.  Dims in an environment that is likely going to consist of little PC are also really good.  Other than firestall (deflag; and that will lose to emerald shield anyway) and devtosis (which would be slow to set up but could've been dangerious with a perfect draw) there would be no PC to take out dims.  Went 2-1.  (I would just like to say that the loss came to justaburd's psion fractal deck... I obviously didn't draw any shields :p  The wins came vs paddoo's life rush/discord deck and justaburd's firestall)

Other decks I built but didn't get to use:
FFQ-hope

4sr 5cq 5cq 5cq 5cq 5lk 5lk 5lk 5lk 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oc 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oi 5oj 5oj 5oj 5oj 5ol 5ol 5ol 5ol 5ol 5ol 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 5pu 8pn

This one seemed pretty obvious as well from the rules.  I included a lot of OEs, which might not have been such a good idea.  I had a few other variants of this one, and I wasn't sure which one was best, though I did test them a bit.

Devtosis
Spoiler for Hidden:

Deck import code : [Select]
5c9 5c9 5c9 5c9 5cq 5cq 5cq 5cq 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5uk 5ul 5ul 5ul 5ul 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5up 5up 5us 5us 5us 5us 606 606 606 606 606 606 8pn

I always have trouble trimming my decks down.  This was a rather lousy attempt at devtosis.  I had several different versions of this as well, some with cloaks or vampires.  I think devtosis would have been too slow to be really competitive today, though, but again, I built it to get an idea how it would function if I faced it.

Squidspirit stall

On paper this seemed okay, but when considering the meta, I realized it would probably not do well.  Most of the decks I was expecting would have given this deck serious problems.

I decided not to play this one because most of the best decks looked like stalls to me.

Same problem as dragontosis, just a different take on monolife.

I also built an earth/life stall with stoneskins, a time/life pharaoh/golden nymph/eternity deck, a druidsader, a shrieker/Eq rush, a fractal cockatrice with dims, and a slightly different entropy/life deck that had a few nymphs and demons, but less damage output.

I nly managed to get 3rd place, but I put so much work into preparing for this tourney, I thought I share it with you guys.

Below are all the 22 decks I built, the ones with # and number after the name are the ones I actually played in the tourney (8 of them).
The numbers represent the rank of how good it was relative to the others based on corss-testing.

Below in a table is the cross-match matrix of all decks against all others, numbers representing the % win of the row-deck against the column-deck.
Decks are indicating by 2 letter acronym used in the above listing. The last column is a win-loss count, where results between 40-60% are ignored (i.e. I consider that RNG territory so count that as a tie/draw). So the best decks are with the highest win and lowest loss count there.

That might just be the most amount of work I've seen put into a single tourney. I'm impressed.

It's really fun to see an uncommon card shine when you really put the screws on restrictions. Don't feel bad, Emerald Shield. I've always liked you a lot.

my very first deck that I make when I started playing elementsthegame is a monofire with shard of gratitude. that time shard of gratitute does not belong to life yet. It is the first deck that I build. when I saw the monofire deck with shard of gratitude, it is like remembering the past  :P

too bad the tourny that time is at 5am... It would be nice to play this deck again
