Trials Tournament during Trials? Seriously?

Weekly Tournament - May 30th - Trials Hype - UnupgradedThey'll be there unless they're busy with their own trials. Tournament Organizers: iancudorinmarian, mathman101, Ginyu or Zawadx

Where? Please enter the Tournament room at least 15 minutes before the tournament starts. Click "Rooms" in the top left to find it.

Rules Please read the PvP Tournament rules carefully before joining the tournament. Remember to also read the Special Rules listed below!

Prizes 1st place 5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon) 2nd place 3,000 electrum 3rd place 2,000 electrum In case of 32 or more players, tournament prizes will be increased.

Points for the World Championship 1st place 4 points 2nd place 2 points 3rd place 1 point

NOTE: You need just one presentable forum post to be allowed to join tournaments; you can post it here. If this will be your first tournament, a Tournament Organizer will test your knowledge about the rules. So please be present in tournament room 30 minutes before the tournament starts.




Special Rules

• Upgraded cards are not allowed.
• Shards are allowed.
• At the start of the tournament, each player declares an element.
• Every deck must be at least 40% of that element and at least 25% of the deck must be off element. (table will be provided in the second post) (You can't use more cards of any element than you use of your declared element)
• You are allowed to play a mono deck of your declared element once every round AND a rainbow deck (6+ elements) once throughout the tournament (the elements used in this rainbow do not count as "used")
• Every element can only be used once throughout the tournament.
• When posting the result, also post the elements you used. ( if you used your rainbow deck)
• Discord, Earthquake, Fire Bolt, Miracle, Devourer and Dimensional Shield are banned.

If you think there is an overpowered card that ought to be banned, or you have some concerns about the tournament metagame, mechanics or other stuff, do NOT post it publicly in the comments or anywhere else on the Forums. Q: Do we choose a new element each round?
A: No. The element is kept for the whole tournament.

As discussed in trney chat... please remove last trney time from the rotation....it is terrible in being too late for america, too early for europe and we just don't have that many peple from asia playing.... it was put there as a test for rotation about 3 years ago and it never did well.. but everytime we get new to's they wanna wait to see if things change.... they haven't and won't!

I live in Australia, and I would have done it if I wasn't caught up with other stuff, and, since I don't check the forums too much, it would have helped if the rules weren't announced 3 days before the tournament.

Another Aussie putting up their hand to say this is the time /week of rotation that works for me.  RL got in the way and I have been studying for exams this week, which prevented me from taking the time to craft a deck in time.   

I understand that we are a minority, but there are a few near-regular tournament participants from Australia & NZ.  From what I know, it works for Indonesia also.

Please don't cut this time out of rotation.  It takes away almost any chance we have to participate in tourneys.


ETA: For example this tournament will now be played at 4.00am local time. I will not be able to participate, as much as I tell myself I'll set my alarm early

as an australian, i would like to say that i am fine with the tourneys being put off. out of the current australians here, i seem to have had the most tourney experience and know how bad this time is for both the hosts and the participants. i cant remember the last time i was in a tourney around this time tbh...

i think it would be best for a couple rotations to be skipped, this one included

Just a note on this: This time is around 11am in Europe and thus far away from being "too early", at least for me.
We will consider based around the statistics of this time if it stays or not.

hmm the too early for europe part isn't from me... still it seems in the morning there are less people available then in the afternoon or evening.  I know we have a couple ppl playing from Australia and NZ.... but very few from Asia so it never works well, also we don't have to play during Australia night each time...

You're actually one of the two people whom I had in mind when I was talking about near-regular tournament participants from Australia/NZ!!  ^_^
