If this will be your first tournament, a Tournament Organizer will test your knowledge about the rules. So please be present in tournament room 30 minutes before the tournament starts.
NOTE: Tournament prizes has changed! Electrums are outdated, you can collect fractions of a Nymph/Mark Code by placing 2nd, 3rd or 4th. I will start editing a Google Sheet once we are over this first tourney with such prizes to see the progress from now on.
Special Rules
- This is an unupgraded trio tournament.
- The usable trios in this tournament are determined by 3-letter words which are made from the first 3 letters
of the elements (A,D,E,F,G,L,T,W). - The list of usable words created from those letters:
AGE, ALE, ALL, AWL, DAW, DEW, EAT, ELF, FAD, FAT, FEE, GAL, GEL, GET, LAD, LAW, LED, LEG, LET, TAD, TAG, TEA, WAG, WED, WEE, WET.- For example AGE can be: :air :gravity :earth or :air :gravity :entropy or :aether :gravity :earth or :aether :gravity :entropy ;
- meanwhile TAG has only 2 possibilities: :time :air :gravity or :time :aether :gravity.
- Words having same letters must use the different elements to make a trio - ALL = :air :life :light or :aether :life :light .
- For example AGE can be: :air :gravity :earth or :air :gravity :entropy or :aether :gravity :earth or :aether :gravity :entropy ;
- You may use every word once through the entire tourney.
- There are words in the list which has the exact amount of identical letters. See DEW/WED, EAT/TEA, GEL/LEG, AWL/LAW.
If you plan to use both of these pairs than you must play a different trio for the second time.
(A :death :earth :water DEW cannot be followed by the same trio WED, you must swap either :death or :earth.) - Your decks must have at least 4 non-PPM cards from all 3 elements to make it legal.
- Also your deck must represent in some way the chosen word. You must have at least 4 such "idea" cards in the deck.
(Since the interpretations can vary, I provide some examples to see what are the outlines. Please don't use
very forced associations, like explaining ALL like "I had *all* sort of cards in my deck!" However, you are encouraged
to use your fantasy! :) ) Also: these are words, not abbreviations or acronyms. (LED is an exception due to the
fact it is used as an everyday normal word.)
Cards that contradict your 3-letter word are deemed banned for your deck!
This is a rule hard to enforce, so hopefully there will be at least one non-playing TO to arbiter if a problem arises with
a deck's "idea" cards. You are not forced to reveal your "idea" cards for your opponent after the game, since he can gain
an advantage for the remaining part of the tourney.WET = It is an easy one. You include 4 "wet" cards (4 cards which has something to do with fluid water - not frozen, not gaseous)
and you are set. Except one thing: you cannot use Dry Spell.
DEW = Again with fluid water...
ELF = 4 Fallen elves and you are ready to go.
LED = The word says it all: Light Emitting Diode.
DAW = This bird is well-known for thievery. - You may use a 4th element as your mark.
- Maximum deck size is 50.
- Decks can contain a maximum of 4 copies from each Nymph.
- You may use every rare/ultra-rare card once through the entire tourney. Rare/ultra rare cards are: shards, weapons, nymphs,
Arctic Squid, Pharaoh and Miracle. - Earthquake, Dimension Shield, OTHER CARDS (QPs included) and MARK CARDS are BANNED.
- What to tell your opponent after a game and what to post after a match? Used rares and words.
If you are unsure about your deck's "idea" cards, please send your deck to a TO before the match and tell him your 'story' about it. - Please post your decks/"ideas" after the tourney.

TOURNAMENTS Q&A
Q: Heeeey, what's the hate on Mark Cards?
A: Until Trident isn't banned they stay banned.
Q: What happens if the opponent cannot explain the reason why the name fits the deck?
A: It is an illegal deck then.
Q: Do pillars count toward using an element? For example, can I use gravity pillars for scarabs when my word has T for time, but I don't have a G?
A: No, you are not allowed to do that.
Q: When I use a rare card, can I use multiple copies of it in the same deck?
A: Sure. "Once" means that you can use that only one occasion, in only one of your played decks.
Q: May I use a dead card?
A: Nope.

I was also thinking about whether to have 4 or 5 compulsory non-PPM card per deck. Thought 4 is favored
by most ppl and 5 maybe is a bit restrictive.
There will be more bans for sure, I'd like to hear your opinion about it. Also if something is unclear about
this "idea" card thing, you are unsue about your choice, ask away.
Posting ban ideas are public, while asking about the "metaphoric" stuff is better done in PMs.

I'm not sure about banning Trident, though it is scary that there are 4 possibile words for its usage.
Maybe some of those should be removed... other than that I'm happy to add new words if you really feel
you can find some association with a deck/cards.
I'd like to fix the rules tomorrow, so send in those words/bans.

so I'm also biting myself as well.
This Marks vs. No Marks topic is kinda funny, because if EQ/Trident are banned Marks doesn't mean that much. :)

The rules may be complex but I'm sure you are knowledgeable enough about trios, you just have
to sort what are the usable ones for this event. Have fun making theories for your own decks word explanation! :)

AGE The Nova says a lot about the age of a star. (rares: discord)
ALL And there were buffs for all. (rares: green nymph, druidic staff)
FAD The presence of sparks was a fad, they came as quickly as they left. (rares: vampire dagger)
FEE The life of the rider was the fee needed to pay for the golem to do his work (no rares)
TEA The sundial showed at which part of the day it was tea time (rares: blue nymph, Owls Eye)
WAG The otyugh was wagging his tail instead of attacking, waiting, growing (shard of patience, shard of focus)
WET Tears of the nymph made the pillars wet (nymph queen)
WEE The wee graboids were attacking, then grew (trident)
All decks were approved by TO Naii.

ALE - Disco Crusaders w Flying Weapon (1-0)
After a battle the good Crusaders went to the inn to cheer upon the victory. After drinking too much ale discord
erupted between them which caused the weapons fly... again. :)
Sadly Doc played an illegal deck, so it didn't hurt that I totally bottomdecked my lone AM (not in first ~25 card).
EAT - Scarab SoR Plate Armor (1-1)
Self-explanatory. Lost because got my 1st SoR as around card #16. Doc already had a too big Scarab horde by then.
GAL - Green Nymph Momentum AdrenaStaves (2-1)
4 gals in my deck. :) Went good. Doc's deck was very creative: PU Armagio Accelerate. Maybe if he puts that first accel on my nymph...
0-2 vs www
WET - Trident NT RT BB (0-1)
Having 17 ppms, only 5 of them time pends, and how do I start: with 1 friggin' time pend. Later got another and got only water ppms
late game. Ofc RTs and BBs kept me alive (he had to give me smth when not getting enough ppms...). He played immo which didn't help,
but with a proper hand it is at least a 50-50 game (trident destroys ppms to make fire quanta a bit slower etc.).
GEL - Immortal + Gravvy Shield (0-2)
You can take Basilisk Blood alone as a gelly substance, but my scientific explanation goes like this: living bodies are gels, part hydrogels ("wet gels"),
part xerogels ("dry gels"). Basilisk Blood just turns you more xerogelly. :D
That's what I call sadism. Kill me quickly rng, but don't tease! Things went well for a long time. He had his dmg ramping up, many golems and
phoenixes, but I always had some SoD, SS then a Miracle. Ofc I didn't get another SS when needed to buy time getting quanta for Miracle.
Had Grav Shield, but no quanta for it.
1-2 vs Vindilos
TEA - Nova UG HG Sundial (1-0)
Sundial = you need to take your precious time for drinking a tea! Nova = you will get energized by the tea! UG = you may get even explosive. :D
See, my whole deck is explained. :D
My RNG was acceptable this time. Though I got my 3rd Sundial around as card #22, which would be fatal for other decks, but not this time.
Had a good quanta start that won me the game.
FAT - Immogolem (1-1)
Golems get slowly fatter and fatter. (Hey, www. :D )
It is truly aggravating when you had a crappy game with an NT deck then you'll see as your other opponent gets a perfect start with
his NT deck. 3 RTs in 11 cards? WTF? Meanwhile I got none. Quick defeat.
WED - Black Nymph Warden Dev SoPa (1-2)
Strange wedding: Black Nymphs and Wardens! They already have one baby. Sadly I put only 3 SoPas there. Yeah, as a TO my mind was
pretty all over.
RNG laughed at me again. Vindi had BHs and Novas in the exact moments he needed. He had 3 both of them in less than half the deck,
successfully delaying my SoPa. I was standing for a while, but it was inevitable to lose.

AGE. Initially was supposed to be TAG, but I unknowingly swapped earth for terra in my mind and got scrubbed. Word has it, Gnome riders tag otyughs with their armor
Actual TAG. You ever played a game of tag with a bunch of people? As soon as the game starts everyone runs off like a swarms of insects, scarabs, for example.
GAL. All women are queens, are gals are angels
G2
ALL. I was aiming to fill all of the slots with my firefly queens, but they got blown up.
WET. Wardens have been playing in the dirt and now we gotta wash them off with some soap and water
G3
LEG. Bless your chicken legs before you let your otyughs munch on them
FEE. Sacrificing small creatures is a small fee to pay to bring out the big guns
TAD. I tried to siphon www's life tad by tad. But then he played time deck and I didn't get any time quanta for the entire time.
