Rules
Please read PvP Tournament rules (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6997.0.html) carefully before signing up.
The rules will be slightly different for this tournament.  With the lack of turnout at regular tournaments, we have decided to do an experiment to see if a "merged" tournament will draw a bigger group of participants than regular tournaments have in the past couple of weeks.  This may or may not be temporary depending on the results, but it will most likely last more than a week.  The basic rules regarding joining and matches still apply.  Timing will be the same, with brackets being made 5 minutes before the hour.  Prizes will be given out to the top 6 participants, not the top 4.  The losing players in the final 8 will enter a separate single elimination bracket to determine who finishes 5th and 6th.  Prizes will be:

1st	7,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon)
2nd	5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark
3rd	4,000 electrum
4th	3,000 electrum
5th	2,000 electrum
6th	1,000 electrum

NOTE: people with less than 30 forum posts are not allowed to enter tournaments.

Special Rules
Upgraded cards and shards are not allowed.
Players will be given a list of cards 15 minutes before the start of the tourney that they can use in deckbuilding.
All pillars and pendulums can be used in deck building.

A: No, the allowed cards will be the same throughout the tourney.

A: Yes. Any non-Shard card may be selected.

my time is 18:00 (CET) - as I'm with my parents at saturdays it's diner between 18:30 & 19:30. That's a shame

Since the cards are revealed 10 minutes before brackets are taken, you can leave as long as you don't take 10 minutes to do it.
Of course, that'd make us sad.

Dang: This is a fantastic time for me (so keep more at this time  ), But I'm going to be at a work picnic until 2:30 (or afterwards).  Thats a shame, really wanted to participate in this.

This might not be the place to discuss this, but 30 posts of quality is actually a bit high imo. why do you have to be so involved in the forums to simply enjoy playing elements and be good enough to join the tournaments? if your worried about getting a bunch of noobs wouldn't a higher score represent a better hurdle than forum posts?

By "noobs," we mean "people who don't read the rules."

Score only represents how much grinding one's done in-game. It has nothing to do with whether or not someone can read the rules and follow them. By imposing a small minimum post count, it encourages players to actually interact with the forums and figure out how to do certain things (like reading the rules, or posting match results) before they enter the tournament.

It's also extremely easy to make 30 valuable posts without having to resort to pointless spamming. This is not to prevent people from playing -- it is to ensure that people have a basic understanding of how the forum works, and have read and understood the tournament rules (both the general guidelines here, and the special theme rules for each tournament) before the tournament starts.
